Just curious, has anyone ever won an EPT seat via Stars Steps satellites.

While travelling the live circuit I get the same response whenever I mention it.

The response is ..... It's fixed, bent, impossible, etc etc.

Well done and thanks. It's encouraging to hear a success story via the steps system. I know that many players have won EPT seats in the MTT satellites. But I had never heard anything but criticism and suspicion about the steps.

Tempted to keep trying.

So it appears that no one has won an EPT seat via the steps sng's.

Has anyone actually played them to any serious degree?

Have you emailed 'Stars to ask how many EPT seats have been won thru' Steps?

No but may well do so.  It may be that Steps are just not that popular among blondites but I would have thought I may hear of a few success stories to give me hope of eventual success without having to spend more than the seat costs to buy in direct.

Maybe I should try the cash MTT's but the qualifiers are usually on a week end when I'm nearly always playing live Tournaments.

steps tend to be won by pros who buy in on the last or second to last one. so someone plays soft feilds gets upto step 5 or whatever it is then play against professional high stakes sng grinders.

but on the flip side if you do buy in higher up on the steps your tend to be playing against weaker players other then the couple of grinders that bought in. so i would say they are playable but buy in a bit higher up and sharkscope anyone who is allready sat down and pick your game, if 4 are registered and on official online poker rankings they are massive winners. skip that one.

just my opinion.

Thanks for the tips.

I started by buying in at 82 euro level but could not get past the 215 level.

I then started buying in at the 7.50 euro level and managed to get to the last level once. I bubbled the seat but won 2700 euro for 3rd. Although I have ploughed a lot of it back into to these steps.

I am currently through to the 215 level again so just need to win (finish top 2) three more in a row.

Edit, out of the 215 so back to square one.
