7) Name a country visited by Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman on their 'Long Way Down' from John O'Groats to Cape Town

Haven't been looking forward to this one, but here goes:

Correct Answers:

UK, France, Italy, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa

PASSES
Cf   PASS   0
Sweetman   PASS   0

ACES
Tal   Botswana   1
Laxie   Ethiopia   1
mondatoo   South Africa   1
Nakor   Tunisia   1
Skippy   UK   1

rfqqqabc   France   2
DMorgan   France   2
TightEnd   Rwanda   2
MintTrav   Rwanda   2

FAILS
millidonk   Brazil   7
AdamM   England   7
taximan007   England   7
TRIP5   Scotland   7
kinboshi   Scotland   7
moonandback   Vietnam   7

England and Scotland are not in fact countries, according to UN definition

Ahem - I'll go first then will I??

Total joke.. if the question had said 'name blah blah according to UN definition' then you could indeed fail but it said country and even in the loosest sense of the work wales is still classed as a country.. therefore to disallow Scotland and England is simply a ploy for QM attention!!

I dont even want to win but cannot and will not fail on such QM idiocy!!!!!!!

..and on that basis I OBfeckingJECT

Infact if anything UK should be a total and absolute fail as I'm presuming our adventurous travelers skipped right past Wales....

FLOG THE QM - VERY VERY HARD

well no, they travelled THROUGH the United Kingdom, of which Scotland and England form part. Two nations, within one country (Wales is another nation, also part of UK)

As some of the ones affected are not present, I should point out that countries and states are not the same thing.

England is not a state, but it is accepted to be a country.

Although not sovereign states, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (in the United Kingdom) are examples of entities that are regarded and referred to as countries - Wikipedia

Scotland was not visited on the trip from John O'Groats as they were already there.

England is a whale with UK
