Have just checked the others and they're OK. But George VI was called Bertie.

Anyone remember Colin Firth getting called George?

his title is fine, he was known to the world as King George VI. No one in England would know about the Bertie thing if it wasn't for Colin Firth. George VI is fine

Oh so it doesn't matter how many people knew him as George? So any king whose first name was George is a correct answer then?

Don't you start.

Anyway, as George VI's name was Albert, it would seem not.

It is widely understood that, when Her Majesty passes away, Prince Charles will take the name George VII, partly out of respect for his Grandfather and partly because the last two Charleses did not end well. Will we know him as Charles or George?

Just typed "I'm gonna make a cup of coffee while this one gets resolved" and then I see you two have beaten me to it with your wittiness.

Might take a while.

Ahem - I'll go first then will I??

Total joke.. if the question had said 'name blah blah according to UN definition' then you could indeed fail but it said country and even in the loosest sense of the work wales is still classed as a country.. therefore to disallow Scotland and England is simply a ploy for QM attention!!

I dont even want to win but cannot and will not fail on such QM idiocy!!!!!!!

..and on that basis I OBfeckingJECT

and Tal, George VI is staying. If HM had passed over the weekend, George VII would have been an equally acceptable answer.
