Never backed out on a bet in my life. I would literally sooner die than do that. How do you live with yourself if your word is useless?

I'm confused, why has this thread even happened?

Sid as an outsider all your posts here give the impression of someone who has a huge chip on there shoulder in regards to the success of the younger generation of poker players.

Trigg's correct in what he says, I know lots of older guys who used to beat poker handsomely, but now can't, mostly due to the game changing around them, I don't attribute this to laziness like Trigg said though, the game just changed and they didn't have the drive to change with it, I can understand this perfectly.

I also know lots of older guys who have adapted and changed and are beating poker equally as they were before, in fact these guys often have the liquidity and the temperament advantage over a lot of younger guys and are far more successful.

Then there are younger guys who don't work hard enough and fall of the radar and go broke/leave gambling, and the younger guys who work extremely hard and do very well.

So really the point you've made makes no sense and looks very much like personal rant at trigg,, if you're annoyed about a facebook comment, I don't know what this comment was, then why haven't you said that outwardly, or more inappropriately discussed with Trigg in private? If it was about someone dying like is hinted then I can understand you being offended it sounds in very bad taste, but the comments and digs about Trigg's gambling are just way OOL imo.

All very bizarre.

How come Triggs post was deleted? Didn't seem offensive to me.

It wasn't offensive, and it wasn't deleted by a mod that I can see (we keep a board of them!). Perhaps Rick thought better of it

Probably 10 thousand reasons lol

Sid

In my opinion you are better off - on here-  concentrating on the debate as it started - old uns, young uns, who is competitive at the game etc - than making it personal towards another poster. That's about the 3rd or 4th go at Trigg a propos of nothing except a personal rant.....

You can take that sort of stuff up privately, or on everyone's beloved facebook, but it really doesn't fit with the type of debates we want on here

thanks

I'm 41 Sid...currently sat in a pub in Sheffield getting drunk, sweating Soccer Saturdat and racing with Trigg and Brummie, whos 40 and looks 50 - he's definitely a degenerate but certainly not ageist Smiley
