Though I am a long way from being a full-time grinder I like to think I have a solid understanding of the game. I read a decent amount around poker and it feels to me like large parts of the game require a skillset which is reasonably transferable from my everyday work. I play, I would estimate, about 30-40 times a year, generally £1-2/£1-3 cash though also a handful of decent size comps and the odd bowl with friends.

high variance lines blow-ups deep in a DTD500 and the UKIPT spring to mind), I am increasingly calm/zen at the table, owing largely to the fact I now live in a cottage with my lovely girlfriend where we have a garden of pansies, a wood-burning stove and many leather bound books in an office that smells of rich mahogany.
