Based on yesterday's performance I'm surprised that Cardiff are top of the league.  Their win was down to our total inability to defend corners but I've seen far better performances at Oakwell from the likes of Palace, Forest, Blackpool, Huddersfield, etc.  They also seemed determined to time waste as much as possible when 2-0 up with 40 minutes to go, which I found bizarre.

If anything, it's highlighted how open the Championship is this season.  There is no standout team among the contenders.

Why? Buckley is better. Zaha might have more potential, but Buckley is currently better and twice as prolific.

Buckley better than Zaha? Never!

Read that Poyet said similar recently but all his geese are swans tbh.

Rightfully so. Several occasions teams have brought off their full back BEFORE half time V buckley. Championship stats:

Buckley, 82 games - 18 goals

Zaha, 100 games - 11 goals

Hopefully Bridge plays V palace so can see how he fairs V a premiership quality player....

Do you not remember the goal he scored against your lot at the Amex? Was naughty in quality. That was Zaha last season as well, running at much less than what he is capable now.

You may well get a lame performance from him seeing as he is going through a pretty dry spell at the moment. Hopefully though he picks things up against Hull on Tuesday and then is primed for a bestial performance on Saturday.

I don't know Buckley as a player to comment really, but despite the stats it is doubtful he is better and as soon as you see both in action you will probably decide yourself that Zaha is the better player, or at least the most valuable if you don't think so.

It may be that Buckley is the more well rounded player, whose finishing and final ball exceeds that of Zaha, but he won't compare in most other qualities that have Zaha priced at around £20m. I wonder what Buckley is priced at, or would sell for?

Precisely my thoughts Sheriff. That is why I am of the thought Palace are currently shading it at the top in terms of quality and I really cannot wait to face Cardiff away on boxing day and hope so much that we get 6 points away to Hull, and at home to Brighton, as we want to pick the run up again immediately.

Need Zaha firing on all cylinders again to make us that out and out table topping side.

Super win for Forest at Wolves this weekend.  Would never have had us winning there.

Watched it on the internet and we were excellent, full value IMO.

How is Andy Reid doing? Is he still a tub of lard and not all that or is he coming to the fore?

It's wide open at the top for a team from any part of this league to go on a run and make the playoffs or above happen, it's amazing to be honest. Not one team has showed dominance. Hopefully though it is Palace by January. A man can dream.

I went to Palace at home and away, the game changing was our left back going off for Vincelot, then Zaha looked v good against one of the the slowest players in the league. He won a penalty in the game at Selhurst too, but so did Buckley. Buckley was out injured for the home game.

Zaha is worth more, a lot more as he is 3 years younger and has high potential. The last two players Palace shipped out (Bostock, Moses) haven't really done much. He is probably worth about the same as what Oxlade went for (£10M??). Buckley is probably worth about £6M.

Buckley rippeda new asshole into Santon when Newcastle lost here last season in the fa cup when they were 3rd/4th in the league.

Did Noone play? Never really been impressed with Cardiff, got no idea how they are up there. They have Maynard to come back soon too, they are just very consistent it seems. There is definitely a Reading to explode up the table this season. Think Watford can come 2nd, very good side.

Seen Buckley and Zaha play, Buckley is definitely the better player right now, as has been stated though he prob wont get much better and Zaha is improving all the time. As i think Ant has already stated multiple times teams have changed the full back marking him at because he causes that many problems.

Not seen Buckley play or really know what he is about so appreciate that you guys think he is better as you are both more knowledgable, as you have seen both.

Zaha has been pocketed by full backs this season and I always wonder why. The left back at Derby really gave him problems, he had to switch to beating their right back which he found much easier. Though I would say as he is only 20, he probably is not privy to the better full backs tactics to defeat what he is about now. He will soon be developing counter strategies against the better players and being a great player.

Look forward to the game on Saturday. Should be a feisty affair.

Reidy has done pretty good this season.  Lost a lot of wieght and can take a good free kick as everyone knows.

Problem we have is trying to figure out our best 11.  Lansbury has to start regularly now.
