Same here. At least report something that is actually happening rather than hype! Doesn't help that so far it has been a relatively inactive window, coinciding with more dramatic coverage. Seems like sky sports news are pushing it hard this early!

Several sources reporting that Colombian striker Brayan Parea is on his way to Watford.

2 points on this

1) Not sure we need another striker
2) We would bizarrely then have the players known as "the next Messi" and "the next Falcao" on the books.

To be fair I imagine there are a few other "next Messis" out there alongside Forestieri (who incidentally is no longer on loan and has signed a 5 year contract with Watford.

Just bought a Palace subscription to their online material. Just watched a post match interview with Holloway after Burnley. Straight off the bat I am in stitches because I don't expect this.

"Do you think that was a fair result"

"Are you drunk, did you watch the game?"

Up the Palace, we need to hammer these lot, and have gone for a ridiculously attacking set up.

A gutting 0-0. We played well by the sounds of it with quite a few chances but we are missing that finishing edge. Really doesn't help that Dikagcoi and Garvan are missing and we really don't have another goalscorer aside form Murray.

I might have to write off the month of January until Dikagcoi comes back and hopefully our loan signings will have time to settle in. Looking for a bit of luck now to try and get a run going. 2 wins in 13 games though, tells it's own story.  A lot of bad luck though which doesn't help but must be the same with every team, so not going to go on about that! Bolton had one or two chances too in this game that if they had put in, we may have been close out of it.

I wonder how important in the Brighton bet I have with Camel the Zigic equalisier will be! I was about to write up that he is reeling away in this bet, he is still 3 points ahead with a game in hand. 5 points ahead would have been annoying.

How did the rest of you lot get on?

Just got back from the Wednesday/Wolves game.

Wednesday were the better team but toothless upfront, Wolves were the worst team I've seen this year.

They were awful. Saunders has got alot to do if he's going to turn them around.

Wouldn't be a suprise to see one of Wolves/Huddersfield/Birmingham get dragged into the relegation dog fight.

Hull pretty ordinary at Poshies today. They defend well but were at least matched by a struggling side missing two of its best players and carrying a passenger up front.

Go Hornets!

Heard you dominated the first half and should have taken at least one goal.

I just don't think Birmingham are gonna be in trouble by the end of the season. They have enough quality in their squad and it is always surprising to see them faltering. Huddersfield though have been poor so that wouldn't be surprising. With Wolves much the same as Birmingham that they really should be doing better, and I think where they have gone wrong is by assigning Saunders to the role who I am not confident has enough quality yet as manager to be a success there.

I want him to as he comes across as a nice guy but I think there would be a manager there somewhere more befitting to a club who could be capable of getting promoted next season.

I think the three currently in the relegation zone will go down and if anyone is going to show something to get out of it I would assume its Peterborough in place of probably Huddersfield.

I thought that all along with Hull, but to be where they are they have to be doing something right. Too with Cardiff, not really impressed with them but they grind out results so fair play!

If I had to predict the final standings of the top six I would pick Leicester first, Cardiff second, Watford 3rd, Palace 4th, Hull 5th, Boro 6th.

Think Cardiff, despite being 1-2 up against Blackpool away, as i write this, are going to wane at some stage of the season.

re hull

have spoken to five or six people who have seen most of there games this season  and they say they have actually played well maybe four times!

I have seen five and they have played well once and just solid but rank average the other four.

I think they have quite a lot of grit and as chompy said they are generally solid at the back getting stockdale back is a massive plus and if the lad from german football starts scoring (2 in 2  now) they should end up in the play offs.

They have a decent knack of not being completely awful that often which is enough to at least compete in most games.
