the suggestion is that Boyd failed an eye test! in his medical at forest

the owners cancelled the transfer

and McLeish rumoured to have walked!

MacAnthony tweeted

"Apparently after playing 300 games in 6 and half years, his vision isn't 20/20 so no deal. Total disgrace the whole thing"

Fking joke.

Apparently Forest failed him on the eye test and then tried to take him on loan for the rest of the season. Ridic.

So they effectively fucked Palace up from getting him.

Pricks.

Dobbie emergency loan.

He is completely unfit, fat and slow.

If he becomes match fit, we will re-call him after 28 days Smiley

From what was said on SSN, sounds like Boydy will now be off to Palace as soon as the loan window opens.

"He'll score,
"He needs a Labrador,
"Georgie Boyd, Georgie Boyd."

Anyone else suspect that Forest's owners don't have as much cash as they were rumoured to?  Or at least are not willing to invest as much as rumoured.

I don't really understand what Forest's game was to do that to Boyd.

Never have I heard of someone agree terms with a player only to do him in the last minute, just to prevent a rival side from signing him? Has that happened before?

I doubt the eye test alone could be a reason to not sign a player. A lot of professionals haven't got great vision and wear contacts, even some goalkeepers! So I think something should be done about their conduct because you can't be acting like that.

Heard a rumour that the Dobbie loan was only a loan as we couldn't get him permanently because of a rule saying you can't play for three clubs in one season. Which shows, I think, how much confidence Holloway has in him being a very good asset.

Very happy about the Phillips transfer as it is exactly what we need. Someone that can come off hte bench and make an impact with preadatory instincts. I do hope he can re live some of his form last season and look forward to his performances from the bench.

If Boyd comes in on loan that would be a real boost too.

The Leicester result last night is gutting and id Boro and Hull get results on the weekend, the pressure is really on for automatic promotion, to the point that if we don't get a win against Charlton, It will be really an uphill battle. Add too that if Brighton won their game in hand over us I think its only three points separating us.

We need a run of three games and 7 points and I think we are then set to have a good run. If we don't get a good foundation of results, then team morale may constitute our demise out of the play offs, but that would really come as a shock considering how well we have been playing.

I think this can all highlight how much we miss the left footed maestro in Garvan and the beastial Dikagcoi. Do us a favour Mali and smash South Africa please! Dikagcoi has only played 45 mins anyway for them! What a waste.

Boydy went to Forest on loan a couple of seasons ago, at around the same time, and hardly got a game.

Apparently they paid Posh around £400,000 for the privilege on that occasion.

This time they offered to pay the full transfer fee up front, unlike Palace, who wanted to pay in installments, and offered Boydy and extra £3k a week on top of CP wages.

Obv they got the jitters at the last minute and tried for a similar deal as before. If there's one player that doesn't deserve this sort of treatment...

Just a shame, as I think he would fit in at Palace well.

Of course if he remains at Boro, he may help to keep you up.

Quite pleased with the signings of Phillips and Dobbie.  We desperately needed more up front and this should help.
Our next 3 matches are massive IMO in how our season is going to pan out
Charlton (h), Watford (a) and Middlesboro (h)
6 points minimum if we are still looking at automatic promotion.

You seem to be suffering from a condition known in these parts as "Ant Syndome" Matt.

You shouldn't even be thinking of automatic promotion, I'd be much more concerned about making the payoffs if I was you
