I spent a fair bit of time on backhenrystreet/fansonline while the managerial saga was ongoing and it really is shocking how badly the chairman runs things up there.

Leaving that pitch as it is all season and relaying it in the summer. I don't know anything about it, but surely in an international break you would have time to relay it?

Fair enough their pitch may be terrible, but to have a go at the chairmen's running of things? Am I right in saying it is the only club in the Championship that isn't running at a loss? Don't shoot me down for that one, I am not sure.

Cheers for the reminder of the pitch. Then I guess it is a free for all. What I say then stands for most matches imo. Then again I like to remind you all I chat a lot but am not exactly qualified to know exactly what I am saying lol, tis just a flawed opinion.

If the pitch is that bobbly and horrible, does that necessarily mean your tricksters are deemed not so effective? Means it is harder, but what about the old kick the ball past the wing back and just use your pace and strength to run in behind, rather than all these stepovers? I don't think it will effect us too much, if we started how I said. But of all the people to be manager for us tomorrow, you would have to imagine he would have some inkling about how to optimally set us up. How is Ince so effective playing at home on such a pitch then? Had him down as a 'pretty' player.

You would be doing something seriously wrong to not be running in profit after 100m of parachute payments Ant!

He goes on the missing during transfer windows, so that he doesn't have to spend any cash on players and from reading their messageboard loan signings are about all they can hope for!

He has siphoned most of the dough out into the family coffers I think, but it's ok 'the money is available to the club if it needs to borrow' Cheesy

I'm not a Blackpool fan mate, I had a financial interest in their next manager and became acquainted with goings on at the club through that.

Got ya, tyty for the info.

Regarding Ince, I'm guessing he's just a pretty special player and if they didn't have him I imagine they'd be where Bristol City are now...

I'm hoping that your boys do a number on them to be honest, I spite bet them to go down when Oyston didn't appoint Thommo as the manager until the end of the season Cheesy

hull are very professional (read cynical) and will grab 2nd imo

they however have very little chance of staying up unless they buy 11 new players

More chance of staying up than the current Cardiff team imo.

Both have got rich owners however, so expect an influx of talent at both clubs.

I feel like I agree but I couldnt explain why. Style? How you expect the spending to go?

I have felt all season Cardiff are far worse than their results imply.

Bellamy is obviously outstanding at Championship level, but I really don't think many of his team mates are good enough to cut it week in, week out in the Premier League. Whittingham possibly, but Helguson, Hudson, Campbell, Gunnarsson are simply not good enough.

Hull are much better disciplined, defensively sound and have a handful of real talents going forward who have more of a chance in the top flight. Boyd, Korens (I remember when he left WBA, lots of decent judges were surprised a big club didn't take him) and the Arabs plus Dudgeon at the back is going to be a star imo.

Koren is different gravy. Surprised no one has taken him on. Does anyone know why? Problems behind the scenes we don't know about perhaps. Or perhaps not being Spanish/Dutch/South American has hampered him.

Thanks for that. Expressed views similar to myself with 5x the info and clarity.

Forgot Robbie Brady too, who has a chance to be really special.

If Palace somehow got up, my opinion is only Jedinak (but not from his last performance!), Bolasie, Speroni and Williams could cut it in the prem, so that is at least 7 new players needed. Really have no confidence in Murray which may surprise a few and of course the whole backline would probably have to change.

Really interested to chart the progress of Brady, as he needs to step up to blood in a new generation of Irish internationals that are all of good quality. We have Coleman and Long at the minute and then the solid players like Walters. This is off topic from the thread but what do people think about Ciaran Clark? Everytime I see him he looks good but prone to one too many calamities.

i think cardiff need the same to

Koren is still good in patches but is not even starting all of the games of late at this level would be amazed if he was a regular starter in the premiership. Classy player but legs are going/gone imo

Brady looks ok but not enough end product for me and needs to add goals to his game can produce some great deliveries though

The eygptians may stay on for longer but they are no great sheikhs (sorry)

As for cardiff Bellamy not for me anymore , whittingham has done more than enough to think he should/could be a starter at premiership level

Only Watford would do ok due to their resources,

We have a lot prem quality players bu most wont be here....our current team is better than villas and readings.

Vicente - always injured and deal won't be renewed
Bridge - deal with city expiring but currently on 100k/week
Upson - deal expiring but prob on 50k/week
Kushchzk - top keeper
Ulloa - see Michu
Lopez - played whole career in la liga got like 9 goals from midfield
Bridcutt - will be gone in summer
Bruno - valencias right back but also injury prone
Orlandi/crofts - bench players in prem
Buckley - will be ready for prem soon

If we go up we keep bridge for 30k imo, would think we keep Bridcutt as well at least for a season. Bruno we could do with losing, Buckley will be decent in prem still I think. Ulloa looks like real quality, was so sluggish at first but appears to be getting fitter now.

Blackpool have had Ferguson sent off.

All the commentators have talked about is the state of the pitch, which is amusing considering the convo we had on here!

Blackpool still edging us by the sounds of it, we need to maybe regroup for the second half and make that one man advantage count.

It took 20 minutes until the Leicester fans started singing 'Pearson sort it out' and another 10 until 'we want our Leicester back'.

As long as neither happens in the next hour I'll be happy enough!
