Congratulations to Palace fans.  Fully deserved.  Happy for Phillips.  Happy for Ant as proper football fans deserve good times.

Watford dreadful, but might have been down to good Palace tactics. So many players didin't show up - Vydra (mitigating circumstances), Deeney, Abdi, Chalobah, Casetti   Can't fathom bringing on Geijo instead of Forestieri at half time and then playing Fessi out of position when he did come on.

They should build the team round Forestieri next year, as he was the one guy who had the guys to sign a long term contract at Xmas.

Can see us losing Vydra, Chalobah (definites) and Abdi, Ekstrand, Almunia (possibles) in the summer so much to be done.

Once again well done to Palace and enjoy the exciting pre-season.

Congratulations to Palace.  Made up for Ant in particular given his schoolboy-like enthusiasm for all things Palace on this thread (meant as a compliment, if any doubt).

And in true playground style, I'm bagsy-ing starting the Barnsley FC Thread and Championship Chat for next season.  Seems to be a good omen.

Thrilling season.  It'll be hard to top the drama next season but the Championship somehow has a way of delivering.

Congrats Palace.  Fully deserved.  Watford didn't turn up at all.  Awful match in general.  Going to be a long season in the PL when a team in 2013 has to rely on Kevin Phillips to score the winner.
