About me:

My name is Thomas Ambler and I'm a 21 year old former student (of Business Management), and currently reside in Chesterfield. Throughout my life I've had some level of success at the majority of things I've put my mind too, such as playing both Football and PC gaming, to a professional standard; Playing for 'Nottingham Forrest' up to being 16/17 years of age, and Playing the Call of Duty series on PC to top 5 European standard for a good amount of my 'career' (as according to the 'official rankings').

My poker career thus far:

I've currently been playing poker a little over two years now, with some moderate success. The majority of this was live cash games, and after around 8 or so months i realized that i was actually making more at the casino at nights then i was in my job (working as a part-time cashier in a Betfred shop - whilst still at University) so i quit, and haven't had a proper job since (around 18 months ago). I first ventured into online MTTs last October / November time, where i went on quite a heater after a friend set me up on a staking deal with 'Bankroll Supply' on the iPoker Network. We parted our deal around March 2012 and i took a short break away from online MTTs to play some more live cash games. Around May 2012 i was offered a new staking deal on Pokerstars which i took, this ended around two months ago and I'm now being backed across all sites on another deal.

I'm currently in a coaching group in our stable - lead by 'Theshanetrain / Shanetrain22' & have the odd session / regular hand discussions with 'Aggro Santos'.

What i am selling:

I'm selling 30% of my action in the Sheffield Leg of the Genting Poker Series @ 1.15.

Why i am selling:

£430 is a fairly large buy in for myself, and therefore i would like to reduce the risk.

Why i think I'm a good investment:

There are a number of reasons i think i am a good investment:
- A good % of the field will be made up of Sheffield Reg's - who i feel i have a clear advantage over having made a living off of them whilst playing live poker professionally.
- Although i got lazy in regards to online MTTs around the middle of this year, lately i have been putting more and more volume in and am currently playing the best poker i have ever played.
- Having previously played live events with the buyins being equal and/or larger than this one, i feel i will have an edge when it comes to the buyin level effecting my decisions when it comes to doing the right thing (as for alot of the players in Sheffield - this is an extremely large buyin and many will be shot taking).
- I have won every local tournament of note in Sheffield (including the Sheffield Link tournament which i chopped for ~£5k) and therefore have experience playing the later stages vs locals, and know who more to put pressure on in situations.
- I have experience vs Reg's on iPoker (which is where the satellites to this tournament are held).

Just to clarify, i am selling 30% of my action in the £430 Sheffield leg of the Genting Poker Series @ 1.15

5% = £25 (rounded up from £24.73)
10% = £49 (rounded down from £49.45)
30% = £148 (rounded down from £148.35)

(P.S. I know my post count is relatively low in relation to that required to post in this sub-forum, however i would like to point out that i have been a member of blonde for over 18 months - just for the majority of the time a lurker rather then a poster!
