Whitlock is an automatic pick as he's in the top 4 in the rankings. Barney's been rubbish for ages but is still a draw for punters, the backing that he gets (in Scotland in particular) is unbelievable.

I am sure the Scottish punters would also support other players that took RVB's place.

You've obviously never been to PLD in Scotland, the support he gets is phenomenal and I don't say that lightly, I've never experienced anything like it outside of football, it's quite bizarre actually. Personally I wouldn't have him in it either but the crowds love him and Sky are still trying to flog the dead horse that is the Taylor/Barney "rivalry"

Is it something to do with the protestant/orange thing?

No it's more of a Scotland/England thing. Obv I'm aware Barney isn't Scottish but in the early renewals of the Premier League he was a threat to Taylor and he wasn't English.  That and the fact that people like standing and chanting Barney Army in much the same way that Van Der Voort's popularity increased tenfold when they discovered a chant for him.

With regards to him getting a PL spot he was always going to get one due to his popularity and at 10th in the OOM probably deserves one. Only Wade and to a lesser extent Hamilton can have any real grumbles about not making it as both have far stronger claims than Newton in particular.

Just spoke to my man at the BDO. Apparently the following players are moving over to the PDC after this tournament and are obliged to return any prize money should they progress to the semi finals or beyond. Can't be fantastic from a motivational perspective:

Bunting
Waites
Wilson
Green
De Vos
Van Den Pass

Has your main Man realised the Trebles are the same size yet?

Seemingly most of the young Dutch will move over due to their Sponsors pulling out over the last Year.

I try to watch and enjoy but they just make it so difficult!!

Waites obtaining an injury whilst sitting down playing dominos at his local was the highlight for me. Probs should spend that time chucking arras..

If you'd posted this this afternoon, I'd have asked how QPR were doing.

However, you posted it later, so I can't.
