Joined the pools. Took a couple of risky lines but if they pay off then it could be good. I should have hedged my acca bets but I am too much of a degen. Can lightning strike twice?
I think I have a bet that I like tonight:
Match With The Most 180 - Outright
Robert Thornton v Michael van Gerwen 15/8
Dave Chisnall v Peter Wright 10/3
Gary Anderson v Simon Whitlock 7/2
Adrian Lewis v Phil Taylor 4/1
Wes Newton v Raymond van Barneveld 4/1
Taylor smashed it at the weekend, got to grips with his new darts. Lewis v Taylor already holds record for most 180s in a match. Taylor has something to prove after last week's anhilation. Lewis always ups his game vs Taylor and is a prolific 180s scorer as it is. I think 4/1 is too big. I would be more worried about Chizzy vs Wright than I am Thornton vs Mvg tbh.
Anyone have any thoughts of on this or fancies of their own?
I had discounted the bottom 3 games because I don't think they will go past 10 or 11 legs, Chisnall vs Wright has potential to go the closest to 7 - 7 so more chances to rack up the 180's I guess.
Thornton vs MVG is interesting, MVG never looks comfy when playing Thornton, and Thornton can get a grind on, but unless Thornton has a hex over MVG (i have not looked it up) I don't get that price at all.
Lewis vs Taylor should be immense - no matter Taylors form I think Lewis will win no worse then 7 - 4, just think we are seeing the start of sharp climb in form for Lewis, I am aware my dislike of Taylor clouds my judgement.
Milli - Do you not think Taylors want to switch to 19's constantly, effects his price in 180's markets?
