Glad to see Wade back in. Sky can go fuck themselves by picking Barney again though.
He really just looks like a big bag of depression.
Who would u have instead?

Thornton is unlucky to miss out.

Van Gerwen, Taylor, Anderson, Lewis
Wright, Wade, Chisnall, Van Barneveld, K Huybrechts, Bunting
Much prefer someone bouncing around the stage like Kim than someone like Chisnall or Wade. RvB a no-Brainer selection, being one of the most popular on tour. This is fundamentally an invitation event, so fan interest is critical. How many people go to watch Chizzeh? About as many who go to watch Newton.
Kim will get his chance now, so we'll see if he kicks on. Plenty waiting in the wings if he struggles.
Agree on Thornton, who probably needed a run in this comp.

why has he got his chance ahead of Dolan and several others ahead of him? Makes no sense. He has done nothing all year and is 16th in ranking pre WC. I can only assume the PDC wildcards have taken into account how fit ur missus is and hence why Kim has got a spot by a landslide.

Dave Whorley is a great judge of darts, works on something to do with the TV production of BDO, has quite a detailed knowledge. (Told everyone to get on Anderson as early as Feb at 28/1, last year had Wright and Also MVG when he was quite a price) anyway he tweeted that it would be nice if Jeff Smith could get over the line in the BDO. Currently 33/1 with sky. Enough for me to have invested a couple of squid. Good luck if u play.

Grand Slam of Darts probably. The win against MvG sticks on my mind a bit. Unlucky to lose in the semi against Chisnall in a decider.
We're choosing between the likely also-rans, so why not pick the most enigmatic, when there's little to choose between them? They'll be tiny dots in the distance for the 10,000 beer slugging louts dressed as crayons anyway.
Dolan, White, Pipe, Smith, Kim, King and various others could have been given the nod based on the year's results. Got to choose someone.

Arbboy dethroned as chief winderupper on the football threads and now Adz sent packing on the "yeah, I might have had a few quid on that..." stakes?
If anyone starts talking rubbish using big words, I will be getting worried.

I imagine the one who makes Hearn the most dough gets in, and I doubt it's any more complex than that.

Wish it was Marky, I didn't listen!!!! Was heavily into Bunting and MVG. Only broke even because I layed Taylor and got Ando on most 180's. Was merely pointing out Whorley's credentials but I can see how it came across. Thanks for the smiley though.

He may have been but Barney adds a whole country to the viewing figures, I doubt many others do that.

I think the Thorn should have been in.
@TAL I don't really care that a bunch of pissed up nobs like to sign about Barny's Army or the fact that he is popular he's dreadful to watch. His inconsistency, strops and woe be me attitude piss me right off.
The dutch are still going to tune in with MVG being in the line up. The fans will still still turn up to watch even without RVB.
Of the other players that should have got a wild card ahead of him I'd have gone for:
Dolan, Brown, Thorn, Jenkins, Deano, VVdV before him.
Behind Wes Newton and Justin Pipe I'm not sure there is a player I dislike more than RVB for this type of format.

That's totally what it is about. Just waiting to see Belgium added to the tv countries the PL is shown in this year. Then it will make a lot more sense.
Barney is also the reigning champion. Has everyone forgotten about that? Whoever won it the year before was going to be 1.01 to defend it wherever they were ranked at the end of 2014.

Who from Dutchland tunes into watch RVB that doesn't watch MVG?
