It goes through different phases, with different sets of people, and busier in different parts of the forum to others

It is certainly true that some people have moved on

Still getting about 50 new members a month

Definitely not dying

Tell me about it. I submit an amazing quiz (http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=59579.msg1670832#new) and people are too stuck in their ways to get involved. Makes me sad.

fwiw i think a few people in caribbean, few people in prague, I know for me this time of year is really busy with work. (not that i post any less). Don't think its as bad as it might seem.

It would be totally offside if thy were, because it's a tiny edge the guy who runs it holds. And you deserve an edge for all the work/hassle of running it.

I did an analysis 3 or 4 weeks ago, I'll try & find it, the Post Count this year is up around 20% year on year. (See "Forum Stats"). 

The "Views" count is harder to measure & compare, but appears to me to be up by 30% or so y-o-y.

As to the Members currently Posting not being interesting, I can't measure that. The quality of a Forum EXACTLY reflects what the Members put into it, no more, no less. It is what Members make it.

I can seed new threads all I like, but its up to members to post new stuff and stimulate debate too

A lot of recreational forum posters (not the online, live pros etc) are not involved in poker now, and 2012 has seen that accelerate, so the forum is going to be a bit more concentrated and with different characteristics than previously
