Playing the $22 million on on stars tonight.  Blinds 200/400.... i've got 24K in the sb with QQ.  Agro player opens to 1200, i re-raise to 3500, he flats.  Flop 789 rainbow.... i lead out, he min re-raises, i've got 17k behind, he's got 32k.  Think about folding, as i'm not beating much now other than tens or jacks.... and to another player i might have, but he's been so aggressive I think i'm good, so ship it... he snaps with AT off, Jack on the turn obv... takes me out...

Would appreciate comments about the hand.....

A few minutes later, playing a $10 f/o, got KK in sb (must learn to fold these big pairs out of position....Smiley)....  blinds 20/40, i've got 3.5k....  after winning a couple of early pots.  There is a raise to 120, called by 2 others, i raise to 600... bit of an over raise maybe, but i tend to be very protective of big pairs pre....  original raiser folds, first caller, calls, other guy folds.  Flop AQ9 rainbow....

I think I play it pretty badly from here...  I check, he bets 600 into a 1500 pot, I flat call (bad play?)...  turn is another Ace, so not i'm thinking he doesn't have an Ace.... but maybe has KQ, QJ, QT?  I check thinking he may check behind with a queen or rep the Ace and I'll get my stack in... he moves all in, I call... he has AT Sad

I can get away on the turn if the second ace doesn't come.....

Again would appreciate comments...

I guess what hurts too is that I never play AT, i'll fold it in the sb when there has been no action before me....  i'm certainly not calling re-raises from a tight player with it, would fold AJ in those spots too, probably even AQ....  maybe i'm just the nit?

Been reading loads of posts on here lately and really trying to improve my game, so as I say, comments would be really appreciated Smiley

Never playing AT is a huge leak, good thing you posted its way above average starting hand and should be played from a variety of positions.

I'll keep posting, it's quite therapeutic... just thought it looked a bit sad being the only one posting on my own thread, assumed i was boring the pants of everyone already Smiley

Reports of the demise of this forum were definitely premature.

There is something strangely weird about off loading into a white text box...   not been having a good run of it online lately, got deep in a few low level buy in MTT's but no decent cashes.  I'm just a recreational player so no pressure of trying to make a living from poker, i just enjoy playing (sometimes) but have kind of lost my way with it of late....

I just get it in with AJs v 67o pre (some action between a couple of us pre, see's him call off all his stack pre against just me.....) I swear sometimes that they have software which "labels" me as someone they should get there stack in with behind as they are 90% to win the hand!

I understand the "variance" of poker but sometimes it just takes the pee....  Variance and I are just not getting it on lately!
