Off to Genting Stoke on Thursday for the APAT Home Internationals. (Captaining Scotland FTW)

Anybody from Stoke got any decent nights out for Thursday and Saturday. (Friday in Poker Night).

Many Thanks.

Stoke isn't the greatest place to go out.  The casinos are OK though.

Stoke is a pretty rubbish night out. The one good thing is that Genting is within pretty easy walking distance if everywhere you might wanna go in Hanley, just turn right out of the casino and walk up the hill and its all right there

Wouldn't quite agree with this. Went there about a month ago to the G casino there and ended up having to call the police after the manager got thrown out for being drunk and then started fighting with a local. I will never be going to stoke again.

Biggest mistake was going to Grosvenor. Genting is okay but the games are pretty rubbish, cash games won't usually get bigger than 1/1 and don't get started til quite late. Having said that never going Stoke again is probably a pretty solid plan regardless

When I went to uni there i'd always try and cab it over to the nearby Newcastle-Under-Lyme. Some fair bars and pubs over there.

Used to do a bit of a pub crawl starting at the Vodka Bar-Revolution. Everywhere is within walking/crawling distance. Went out there with a mate when I went back recently.

Hanley used to be a far night out with Branigans, Valentinos, The Place etc. But then they basically turned them into casinos.

You'll have a good night wherever you go drinking in Stoke tho, place is friendly and booze is cheap, have a good one!

Out of the casino, turn right... get to the street, turn right.... walk up about 200 yards, find a shoddy bar with dodgy lighting, go inside... order bad beer in plastic glass and get a dance.

sorted.

There are enough bars if you go up the hill (Walkabout, some gangsta bar, wetherspoons) and a couple of clubs (Liquid/Jumping Jacks). As someone has said Newacale under Lyme is 10 mins away and theres a reflex amongst others there.

TBH i suggest going to the place closest to the casino, the titty bar, the women might not be much but 5 bottles of carlsbeg for a fiver will make them look abit better

Glad you enjoyed your visit... considering we left the casino so late that it was the only place we could get in that was actually a pretty good night

It's probably not as bad as I've made out. Newcastle-Under-Lyme might be a more relaxed night out with a couple of decent bars (only about £5 for a taxi from the casino) but Hanley does have the advantage of being right there
