I rather like your move. It's the kind of thing I often think about but rarely have the guts to do. He needs a whomper of a hand to call. It's just unfortunate that this time he had it.

I'd have gone bust in a much less entertaining manner after making trips on the turn

LOL u played 7 9 in a mtt early stages from mid posistion like that? and ur trying to give me advice? lol (just kidding) why were u even in the pot preflop? why did u call the reraise, this guys raised u preflop and when he bets u automatically think ur 9 is good? u couldnt of played the hand any worse if u tried! i wouldnt be in preflop, but if i was id fold the reraise, but if i called i woulda folded the bet on the flop, how many opportunities do u want to get away from a hand? at the end of the day u got eliminated from a mtt with 7 9 after calling a reraise then reraising all in on the flop with second pair, i can guarentee that aint a way to win tourneys, gl in the future tho
