How are you copying them over, just 'drag and dropping' them? I would have thought there'd be a way to skip all that are identical (same size, filename and date modified).
How many images are you talking about? If it's only 50 - then copy them all over into a 'dump' folder, and then copy from there into the final destination. That might not be too much of a hassle?
Can't find a way to skip identical files except one at a time. Can't see another way except drag & drop, (Camera wizard sees 770 images). Sometimes there can be ~ 200 images if I've been using burst mode.

I installed this app because I use turn by turn navigation quite a lot and the stock volume wasn't quite loud enough. It's also really useful to use the phone on the speaker as a 'hands free' when I'm driving. The thing is, the app runs all the time unless to go into it's settings and force it to stop. What I want to know is, is there liable to be a significant battery drain from this app if it's left running in the background? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.omegacentauri.SpeakerBoost&hl=en

I'd be more worried about it damaging my headphones/speakers. You can go into your phone settings and see what's been using your battery. It shouldn't be one of the main battery drains. This is my battery usage (under Settings > Battery): Click to see full-size image. |

Thanks Bosh. I was careful about speaker damage. I started at really low settings and increased them gradually. I have it set at 60% of it's max atm and it's ideal. My volume controls still work the same so I can turn it down in quieter situations. Although the app seems to be running all the time (Shows up as ongoing is system tray) it doesn't appear in the battery usage listings.

Sounds (pun intended) that it's fine to leave it running all the time then

Sounds (pun intended) that it's fine to leave it running all the time then Been thinking about this. The app is running, ergo is obv incurring some battery drain, but is it not showing up in the usage list. Perhaps it is not configured in such a way that it shows up, or perhaps it's recorded as part of the 'Android System' or 'Android OS' readings.

Think of it as your TV remote control. You change the channel with it, and then until you use it again it's not using any battery power.

It's worth it for me. Seems to be far now useful on a rooted phone though. Juice Defender and Tasker are very useful for me.

Got the s3. The mini is supposed to be the same spec but it's not. I didn't pay for the phone. I get unlimited calls & texts and 1gb of data for £27 pm with Voda.

Aaarrrggh! I I've never been so tilted in all my life.
My phone has something called 'Clear OS' which is apparently some kind of content filter. It won't let me view certain sites, (2+2 for instance.) I can't find any settings for it, and I've tried turning my phone off and on.
Any ideas anyone?

Is it network related or phone related? I would have thought network and you can call them up to switch it off?
