Manic Miner = greatest platform game of all time contender (suspect Super Mario Bros might have something to say about top spot) My favourite ZX game was Jungle Warfare. Had the gun and everything.

Out of curiosity had a look on ebay. Those pocket electronic games go for shedloads. Might go round the old dears tomorrow, she if still got any in the loft
I didn't look out of curiosity, I looked because 'i want one'. Yes that too. My first spectrum was the 128k with built in tape deck, was the nuts compared to the 48k

Not quite a toy but spent all my teens glued to these babies. They have a lot to answer for as I met my now wife whilst djing at a club, 20 odd years later and we are still together. Still have my technics & vinyl too.

And the Amstrad cpc 464, having to load games for 5-7 minutes each time we wanted to play seemed normal..
Oh how times have changed, I remember getting an Amstrad for Christmas as a lil boy, absolutely loved it! I think I still have it somewhere, will have to have a dig around the attic

agreed - but it's the sequel Jet Set Willy that's competing for second place, those Italians are some way down below some of the other Spectrum games
