swift into slight favourtism, looks about right. if ciolek can stay with the group i'd like his chances, 12/1 ew might be a play. hopefully it is a success, i was in harrogate for stage 1 of the tour last year and the atmosphere was great.

hoping for a good showing from uran in tour de romandie so he can carry that form into the giro, good luck!

Didn't expect Katusha to put in the TTT they did. Spilak v Froome at the moment.

Have followed you in on Uran at the Giro.

Also have in mind a play with Movistar, but not sure yet on who will lead at the Giro, Izagirre or Intxausti.

What am I missing here? Sky price Kittel evens, no way coming back from illness. Yorkshire lad Swift must be a marginal favourite, 7/2 looks about right. 7/1 a steal!

Had a quick look at stages, & stage 3

is right in his zone. Kittel will likely struggle stay in the lead group & loose chunks of time.

you were right about kittel not being able to win coming back from illness, hard lines on the swift crash out  Sad

Interesting market. Greipel & Matthews could both well quit the Giro early, with both having ambitions in the Tour. You need to finish the race to win the red jeresy.

I've taken some on Modolo, on form in the Tour of Turkey & should make the finish barring accidents.

Also, Mezgec. Should have the best lead out train in Team Giant - Alpecin, & was strong towards the end of last years race.

market is all over the place here, i like mezgec, will have the full support of giant-alpecin, which means he should be in the mix on every flatish stage. might not win too many, but should keep grinding the points out. Bling may well get a few early wins, but orica are all about getting the leaders jersey early (day 1) then defending it for a week. past that they'll focus on Chaves in the mountains and bling can go home i'd say. Never been a griepel man, couldn't back him. Modolo will be another to possibily grab a few stage wins, very open market, think you've nailed the 2 to be on

modolo 11/10 with beteveryday to win a stage, would have thought he'd be odds on for a win? guys like viviani and valle are 5/6

Yep, roughly estimate his stage opportunities are better than Viviani.

KOM isn't something i get involved in normally, as its difficult to predict. A lesser name could be targetting it, the way the race pans out it could go to a big name like Contador etc etc. Orica seem to have very specific goals for the giro, win the TTT, get bling a win first week and into the pink jersey, defend it for a week, i read their director saying they like chaves for the last week, but iits guesswork as to if they mean for a stage win or for the KOM classification. he's 40/1, a possible play. There could be any number of italian riders who'll make that classification their number 1 aim of the season, and i wouldn't know till it happened type of thing

I'd expected AG2R to be shorter, i must admit. Main aim would be to get pozzovivo a high up the GC as possible, betancur for a stage win but he'll be a loose cannon, nocentini in the mix for a breakway which could go all the way in latter stages. another market where i'd not normally get involved in, but from an odds point of view they seem a bit big given their previous. would have had sky a shorter price than astana, doubts about aru, sky choc full of climbers etc

OGE odds on. No betting for me, but feel Katusha could surprise.

Stage 2.

Straight forward sprint stage. Greipel the fastest here, but not quite the force he was, particularly if it is scrappy.

I've gone Hofland 20/1 EW. Purely price driven, but he does have a win in Yorkshire last week & his top speed is up with the best.
