tony martin off the front on his own from a way out, always good to see him time-trialling in a normal stage!

Big test for Pinot today. We'll see if his improved TT had hold off Thomas & Spilak. Will be a massive boost ahead of the Tour if he can hold for a top 3.

Quintana.

Everything I have read suggests that the coarse as near perfect for him as it could ever be, but his whole reputation seems to built around 1 suicidal decent (in snow) in a grand tour last year, followed by 3 or 4 days of near perfect climbing.

Does he have a team strong enough/together enough to support a real tilt at the yellow?

I am no expert but I am struggling to find a reason not to take the price on the machine.

Shit post Nakor, such a clown.

What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?

Hi Nakor,

I'm a fan of Quintana. Some stats tell you how good he is. First TDF 2nd, followed by a first at his debut in the Giro. Team is pretty strong in support imo.

Final two weeks of the Tour is when(if) Quintana should come into his own.

I'm hoping for around 4.00.

I'm a big Quintana fan, but not sure if having Valverde in the team is a help or a hinderance. They've said Quintana is plan A, but Valverde to ride strong to  give them a plan B, but when the push comes how much will Valverde want to sacrifice himself for the team? Stage 3 on the Mur De Huy could see him trying to win that stage and he seems to have his own motivations. This is a contrast to Sky, where Froome is 100% leader, and Porte will sacrifice himself every day for the leader. What do we reckon?

I've read about Q v V in press, really not sure it is an issue. Valverde & Quinana do actually get on well I believe. A strong Valverde can only be of benefit to Movistar, Quintana can sit on & pick his attacks.

Yeh, in theory it should work very well, Valverde attacks nd the other big names have to go after him and Quintana can just sit on wheels. Was just reading the team guides from cycle sport magazine from April, and Valverde said that riding for GC at the tour remained one of his main objectives, so if thats still the case then it'll be interesting to see how it plays out

Really looking forward to the TdF this year, and just discovered a market that I didn't know existed:

http://www.oddschecker.com/cycling/tour-de-france/w-o-big-4

Some tasty looking prices in there if like me you can see past Pinot, van Garderen and Rodriguez. Rui Costa e/w at Bet366 is an unbelievable price.

I've been trying to get Mollema onside somehow, but he's top price here with coral who are only doing win only without the big 4 Angry found a bizzare "top benelux" market where its only him and Kelderman who are hoping to GC high up, so took the 9/4 there

Not many bets ahead of the start. Just Michal Kwiatkowski & Dan Martin top 10 bets. Trek @ 110.00 in team classification.

Will be funking for Pinot. Hoping Rodriguez can blitz the final two weeks. One of the Yates twins wins a stage. But mainly the big four can really battle to the end & live up to the hype.

GL guys!
