The Online Leg, Day1a, played last night

85 runners, 7 made it through after 16 levels

I will put the chip counts/names up later today when I receive them

Ben Vinson leads the way with c700,000 and the likes of Liam Batey and George Bedi are depriving the prize pool of their usual re-entries by having the temerity to make it through last night

700k, 500k, several at 200k plus.
The top 6 stacks for the whole torney will pretty much be players who played online?

What colour are the 1, 2 and 10 chip denominations? Smiley

They are some hefty day 1 stacks!

Only 7 through as we'll.... Who says online plays the same as Live!!??  Grin

In the past, Day 1a (live) has been cut short when it got to about 12 players left as it would change the dynamic of the tournament if there were just two tables playing short-handed and Day 1b was then played to exactly the same point (to keep it consistent).

What happens tonight if Day 1b gets down to 12 or fewer players?  Will it just continue till the end of level 16?

it has to. They played short handed for 45 mins last night - it was brutal (but fun on the rail)

Yes, what I was thinking is that maybe it should have been stopped short then last night, and then Day 1b and 1c could also be stopped a little short of the 16 levels as well.

Just had a look at January's £300.  Day 1b's chip-leader came back with 400,000+, and with an extra level it's quick feasible that there will be a few stacks from the live Day 1s that will rival those of the online Day 1 players.

Would you play it as a satellite where the top 15% qualify to day 2 with the average stack of those who make it through from 1B and 1C?

Discourages those trying to get through with a big stack from playing, tho.

Anyway, I'm sure those in charge will reflect on how it went, listen to feedback and make whatever decisions they believe are right and proper. They always do.

Very best of luck to those playing today.

My concerns about the online day 1a have been realised, purely looking at the stats it is quite a simple equation to me and hopefully everyone else including Simon Trumper

Jan Deepstack over 2 days 727 runners
123 returned day 2 chip 16.91% of the field
Chip average 177k chip leader 400k
Short stack 13k

Feb day 1a online 85 runners
7 returning 8% of the field
Chip average 364k chip leader 700k
Short stack 76k

Ok no one will be complaining about the £25,500 added to the prize pool, but a disproportionate chip stack for day 2 and playing half the time this cannot be comparable to a live grind and on a personal level if this is to continue which I Wudnt mind if it did tbh, adjustments and chip stack should be synced with the live play IMO, I don't think that anyone including Ben, George and Liam would dispute that.

Was going to play this but reaching 700k live is a nailed on impossibility, im sure it wont deter people entering but a tough task.

This should have absolutely no bearing on whether anyone plays or not! And to be quite frank is absolutely  irrelevant

You can't compare it to last month. There was an extra level played this month.

Wait to see what happens tonight then compare it again. Admittedly the online figures will still be skewed but they'll be a lot closer.
