Down to three tables, and table 11 has broken

"That's a shame" I say to myself standing nearby

"Nooooooooooooooooooooo, thank ****" says Guy Johnson in exaggerated fashion. It's made his day to have that table break!

"Are you famous?" Athir Ali says to Ben Vinson

"Only in my own house" replies Ben

Ali has raised and Ben has peeled the big

Ben has check called the flop

And check raised large on the turn, the chips in the foreground are Ben's

"I am such a bad player" says Ali, should shove the flop

"I am going to toss a coin, see what to do"

He tosses a pound coin on the felt

"damn, wrong answer"

He thinks some more

"If I make this call I win the tournament"

I resist the temptation to tell him to make the call then

He thinks some more, face contorted in agony

It's a 1.5m chip pot if he calls

He folds

Vinson smiles the smile of a young boy whose mum has caught him with his hand in the biscuit tin

"I knew it" says Ali. "I passed A-J"

Vinson shows the  and is definitely the chip leader again

Me Duck Anon opens to 425,000

At 15,000-30,000

All good sport

In the big blind Matt Harris's christmases have all come at once

He has Queens. And 600,000

He nonchalantly shoves

Anon calls with 6-6

Queens hold...

Harris doubles up, wrapped up in a bow in nice shiny paper

MeDuck Anon knocks out Stuart Brownson in 22nd

Brownson shoves A-J in late position for 10xb b

Anon in the blinds calls with K-9off

Spikes a Nine to win

--

Liam Batey button shoves 300,000 with 8-8

In the big blind Marcin ilde only playing 500,000 now calls with K-Jss

9-A-6-5-10 Doubles Batey up

The majority of this field is now in shove mode at approaching 20-40k. Average is a touch over 20x bb but the chips are concentrated in Vinson and Anon's Hands

Vinson has 2m+, so the "real" average is sub 20x bb

Paul Mason on the button shoves 600,000 with 9-9

In the small blind Anon calls with A-Qcc

4-9-Q flop

expletives flow from the mouth of Anon like a Tsunami of emotion

Mason doubles to 1.3m

---

Lil Dave opens on the button with A-Q playing 1.2m

Dominic Cugudda peels

Cugudda open shoves 3x the pot on A-5-6

Dave calls

Cugudda 7-8, which gets there to double Cugudda up and leave Nicholson with 600,000 or 15x bb......

Folded round to Guy Johnson in the big blind

12x bb

Shove Q-5 into Guy Barron

Who calls with 7-7

J-9-J flop gives him some more hope, but the board bricks

Guy Johnson out 20th for £1,200

Nice early finish today tighty? Longer days on the first day work better in your opinion?
