Robert Downey Jr has bought the film rights to one of the episodes of the first series.

Nope. No pigs.

'The Entire History of You': the one I didn't care much for.

Probably the best one in regards to scope to make into a film though.  I thought it was the weakest of Series One but the concept is probably the best to extend and play with.  I thought the first one was clearly the strongest but it was sort of 'done.'  I don't think there's much to extend, explain or change on it which will do anything but harm the story.

On the new series, I felt Ep 1 was a bit of a let down.  Pretty obvious throughout, well acted though, especially the male lead.

So is series 2 episode 1 complete in itself, i.e. episode 2 doesn't follow on?

Yes - they're all self-contained.

My fave of the three,  3>1>2.

Love Toby Kebbell, been a big fan since I saw him in Dead Man's Shoes.
