50-seat GTD feeder to the sat tonight only got 17 players, so obviously didn't run

Yes but cash games run on demand will depend on demand. Once players start getting knocked out of Day 1 these will pick up

Hi Everyone,
So the numbers are a little behind our targets going into the home straight tomorrow:
Day 1a Online 69 runners (target 75)
Day 1b Live 113 runners (target 125)
Day 1c Live
runners (target 300)
Because we are 18 runners behind target, we now need 318 players tomorrow, to put this into context, the record for a previous Monte Carlo is 313 runners over 2 Day 1's, so we have to exceed that - but all on the same day. Currently we have 183 pre registrations for tomorrow, so need 135 players to stump up £1K tomorrow.
Once you go into the £1K mark, direct buy-ins a whole different ball game, that is why we have always been cautious not to GTE more than £250k (250 runner) for the previous Monte Carlo's. However, we felt we wanted to have a punt at getting the Monte Carlo up to £1M so we are punting this week and are not million miles away - would love to hit the number going into the ISPT launch next week, will give us a boost:)
Cheers Rob

GUYS
Deal : If we can we beat this £500K GTE without dropping more than £50,000 in the sats (and I don't think I can do this without your/poker community's help to market the event), I will committ to making the next DTD Monte Carlo a £1M GTE and we will market it a LOT LOT LOT more than this one!
1st of all, huge grats on making the £500k, sick work by everyone involved, 2nd of all, did you knock it in on the sats and do we have this to look forward to ?
You know you love a challenge Rob

Top top work to have met the guarantee, hopefully the sats didn't cost the club too much. Best of luck to all blondes playing today.

Hi
Nice to hit the £500K GTE, we just scraped it by 4 runners, at one point it looked like we would just miss it but 4 players turned up from London who had got stuck in traffic and then got lost! Then we had 3 players turn up who had been at work all day, and suddenly, we had beat the GTE by a 4 runners. 499 would have been gut wrenching but despite the numerous kind offers from concerned players (LOL) to be 'put in and play for the house' - we kept our nerve and hit the £500K GTE in the "right" way.
The total cost of feeders and satellites was £48,500, so under the £50,000 target - we basically "chucked all the reg fees at it" - so as per the commitment we gave before this event, the next Monte Carlo will be £1M GTD, and I'm pleased to announce that the next one is scheduled in for 10 years time (only joking). Seriously - we will look at dates, and depending on the 2014 UKIPT - which is also likely to be £1M GTD, we will schedule the Monte Carlo in taking that UKIPT date into account.
Next job: ISPT
Cheers Rob
