If there's no responsible adult nearby, I'd just take it to the Apple Store and get them to sort it out.

BINGO.

The Apple Store is in Kingston, maybe they will do it for me. I'm also up in London tomorrow, too, Shard-ing, so they may have a shop in London, too.

Covent Garden has one

I think I have seen that - supposed to be the biggest Apple Store in the UK, or somesuch?

Not sure if Covent Garden is near the Shard though.

PS - I have a new camera.

You know Covent Garden is not near the Shard!

London Bridge Northern Line from the Shard, up to connect with the Piccadilly, Piccadilly Westbound

I have presumably fallen for dry irony.

No, I meant "walk-able". I'm not sure exactly where the Shard is.

yes it's definitely walking distance

You can see Covent Garde from the Shard, Can't be that far Smiley

What camera did you go for?

Linux Panasonic Z80, I think. Ask Tom, he told me to get it. It has a touch screen thing, very impressive.

Do you mean Lumix Panasonic TZ30 by any chance

Yes, probably. Cost about £230. Quite small.

('Tis an excellent choice though, don't break it)

I bought the same one for the better half. She even lets me play with it.

I hope you clamed the £35 cashback offer on it. My cheque came last week. Like a mini win.

I don't think that smiley will do this thread any justice. It's just not big enough.

Think there is a bit of piss-taking going off here. You can all bugger off.

At least we have been spared Tom & his usual "have you TIO&TIO?" thing.

Apple store is  a great shout! Do that!

The good thing is, when you update to the next operating software, the I Pad can then self update without a PC! So get this one out of the way and you are flying!

Is there anything on this I pad you dont want to lose?

Not sure what you mean by that?

I just use it to get on blonde when I not in front of the PC, & place bets occasionally if I am not at home. Also for SkyGo.

Think that's about it really.

I took a photo of a reservoir with it once but don't know how to download it.

Yes, I was referring to photos, notes, contacts, whatever you store on it really.

Doesnt sound like you keep too much on there (which in your case is good)

As far as the photo is concerned, get the Apple people to set up your email account properly, so that you can send e-mails, and just email anything you want to keep to yourself - et voila - a back up copy!

GLGL getting sorted, apple are usually very good.

Thanks Guy. I just have a few photos, nothing else.

Will I need a googlemail account for the e-Mail? I currently have my Yahoo Account, which I've had for what seems like 15 or 20 years, & my Company (Outlook) Account, but I don't use that on the ippy.
