Outrageous: Is it ridiculous to play half a tourney with the guy sitting on your left going by the name RobYong, apparently playing loose apparently without a care, maybe just making the numbers up, only to to see his name change to DTDValet half way through the tournament. How the hell does that happen???. Now what do you think in my position, thoughts of UB Superusers go through my head and yeah that affects my game. No way should a name be able to be changed halfway through a tourney. Yes I know now it wasnt him after the event BUT what do you think at the time. not all of us spend our lives playing poker. There are still recreational occasional useless playing fish like me at the tables
Dunc what would it matter if somebody's screen name is robyong, davidcameron philhellmuth. You levelled yourself into thinking because this person is playing aggressive poker that maybe you could get some chips off this person 'easier' and you made a terrible bluff which he exploited which crippled your stack, now your moaning about it?
It shouldn't matter what somebody's name is... I am RASTAFISH on the French pokerstars and its laughable that because if te block capital name and avatar, people assume that I'm crazy, yet it couldn't be any further from the truth.
There was an Oscar Pistorious playing too but I didn't assume that he would be playing just like nobody should make assumptions based in a name, and if you did then tough luck IMO.
I was as surprised as you when the name changed halfway through but I did type in the chat box that ipoker asked me to change it.
Concentrate on how your playing your own game rather than trying to take advantage of a perceived easy spot because you thought it could be Rob playing to make the numbers up.
Simon Trumper used to play in the other satalites but was he there to make the numbers up? No he played as good as he could so why would 'rob' play any worse?
Your frustrations should be with the lobby issues not somebody's screen name, and if you PM'd Rob asking for your money back then that's a complete joke and I will personally give you te money back for your satalite as its not Rob's fault or mine that you got knocked out it was you, but I'll give you your £30 back if only to stop your moaning at Rob, Nicola or anybody else from DTD.
They put a hell of alot into the poker industry and have completely changed the uk tournament structures and put on huge gtd's with huge losses yet we don't hear them moaning.
P.s. I had to laugh at your UB "superuser" thoughts ran through your head and it affected your game. Yeah if Rob had "superuser" abilities on ipoker...I'm sure he would be playing a £30 satalite into his own £300 deepstack. Are you for real!?
