game should be 10/20/40 so less nitting about, was painful at times. Ed was really really good, Rasta obviously ridicuously tilting/clueless but god entertainment, Was tuned in for 3 hours or so.

As several have alluded, unedited cash game footage was never going to be bish bash bosh. Poker is just not like that, & never was. Edit 6 hours into an hour, & you have all the condensed bish bash bosh you would want.
Omaha, with it's added complexity, will be excellent for those who enjoy the 4 card game.

One other thing I would add is that if you are a pro player and ply your trade at DTD god only knows why you would sit down in a live streamed cash game at your place of business. It's akin to when Doyle Brunson released Super System or something. You are dishing out a shed load of info to your oppos and what do you get out of it?

Yeah, the reason why poker has such a mass following is because all the shows are highlights of big hands and scooping. Loads of excitement and adrenaline, but the reality is infinitely different. I remember Billy Baxter saying something like poker is a lifetime of waiting around for a minute of excitement. So kinda funny when people discover the reality of the game and think hold on this is boring. It's like when people phone those sex lines and imagine there's some smoking hot cutie flouncing about her room in a basque and suspenders when the reality is it's some old bag cooking the dinner.

Watched from around 8 till I bust out of the 10 o'clock GP satellite - listened to a lot of Ed's stuff and thought he was excellent.
The deck needs rigging to generate action IMO - we want to see set over set and straight flush vs flush vs full house and stacks being lost.
Then cut to the CCTV in the car park and see weeping players seeking someone to tell their story to.
Definitely mic the players up, and one other plea. Ask the players who are hungry to leave the table to eat. Watching Alex scooping his rice or whatever was pretty off-putting. Not as bad as the stream a while back when that guy from Norfolk who doesn't play any more was eating his burger though.

Potentially a great way to throw your opponents off

When Rasta started talking about the upcoming Grand Pricks at DTD, I was thinking was this in the upcoming Omaha game?
Presumably they don't need any boring old nits for that game?

Norman Whiteside / Scotty did not fit your remit as it turns out. People want to be entertained and this live cash game was billed as bit of fun. I was entertained because I know The players and could appreciate the dynamics. The chat room had people wanting nitty players replaced and it was not till Rob got there were these people satisfied with their pound of flesh.
Ed was excellent and Rastafish delivered again early in the evening but I went to bed at 11.30 Ish and watched it on the phone with the sound off and no facility to chat on the phone.
100% great efforts from Sky and Dtd. I follow both but you can't please all the people all the time.
Edit. Fml Marky I was chatting to Steve Vladar and told him there should be more ladies involved.
Doobs the main guy flaming the nits had 1 Herbiemob flag in a £25 comp and almost put his link up when (fake) Steve put his up.
Rob is an enigma in his self. Obv busy man but I went to rail one of the £10k heads up matches a mate was playing. My mate got his chips and went and sat opposite Rob. Rob got up and said I won't be a minute. 90 mins later I went to find out where he was and he had gone home. To this day I don't think he even knew what he did. My mate was a bit miffed
For his part last night Rob did exactly what people expected especially the J9 v JJ all in pre and he has gtd that lots of people will tune in next time.
Who took over from Rastafish......Wadey was busy getting the chip lead at another comp.
Keep adding stuff to this but I could watch hours of Phil Hellmuth and Sam Grizzle and cards would be immaterial. I could watch those 2 guys watching paint dry for entertainment.

This is what I thought. Seems pretty egotistic to want to play. If I get to see some very good good PLO players next week I will probably watch purely to see how they play certain spots and starting hand requirements they implement.
It's great PR for the club. Did the players get free rake?

Really enjoyed stint in the booth. Will write a longer post with my thoughts on the stream concept when I get a chance.
Well done to DTD on further innovation/free content.

I watched a decent bit amount of it last night and really enjoyed it. Maybe it helps knowing the players etc, but for a first attempt it was pretty good.
Ed was great on commentary, we were saying how if you didnt know who he was, you would presume hes done it hundreds of times. Very clear, keeps the conversation going and worked well setting Rasta up for some comments, which were always entertaining, if not a little odd sometimes.
After these left there was a bit of a lul, and as everyone else has said, there werent as many big hand confrontations as you may expect, and there were obviously a few players who were playing a bit tighter than usual. Thats no blame on their part, it was getting a big game towards the end.
Looking forward to being involved next time, and suggesting a few things that could could be tweaked a little bit to make it a better view. Not sure how many people they were expecting to watch, but saw there were ~100 viewing most of the time, which i expect is pretty good for a first try.

on the stream it said they paid the usual fee. Skalie did his best with trying to get the dealers massive tips from a prop game he devised.
I never saw much egotistic cock waving tbh and if it was a porn movie I would say the fore play was over rated and the actual love making was over a bit too soon. Bit like my story really

I mostly lurk but had to post to say that I thought Ed did a great job- really articulate and genuinely interesting. I am fairly hesitant to criticize it too much in its first outing and I did quite enjoy it. It was certainly good to have it on in the background although I can imagine it might have been a tad dull watching intently. I would rather see a deep 1/2 game full of action and moves than a bit of a nitty 2/5 but understand the reasons for how it turned out and I look forward to further streams nonetheless.
