Genting Poker thread: Live and Online

Here at Genting Newcastle, It's the 4th installment of our fantastic £12,500 GTD £100 (+12) with an optional £50 rebuy or add-on. The first 3 pots have been £23k, £17.5k and £18k. Not bad at all for a local game finished in one day!! The last time we did this monitored the structure later on and added a few more levels to make sure there was still plenty of play at the business end, but that it didn't drag on too late for those working the next day, it was chopped around 1.15am 4 ways last time.

Sunday 30th of June.
2pm start
4 x 30 min levels of late reg and re-entries.
25 minutes thereafter.
8000 + 8000 chips.

sounds like a good adjustment to the structure.

Quick question - if i reg online for one of the day 1s and am late (will be rushing from work at lunchtime), will my stack be in play or will it be "held back" like they do at DTD for people registering online?

I'm pretty sure the answer to this is that they will be in play from the start. If you have an online token to use though you can register with it at the venue. Just see Raf or one of the guys and they will point you in the direction of Dave Williams who can sort it for you once you get there

Haven't seen a thread here on it and know there is a crossover of players on here and THMF so thought I would post the following.  Looking about 5k so far in Tourney $ they have reneged on.  Totally unprofessional as No consultation with The Mob and as for the PR this will generate in the online world of poker I think it is a massive boo boo here by them.

Unfortunately my first post is not great news!

Genting Poker has decided to stop the Hendon Mob Tournament $ scheme with immediate effect. The VIP scheme available on Genting Poker offers excellent value for all players and all players signed up with Genting Poker will have this scheme available to them.  If you have not already used them, the Genting Points can be exchanged for cash or online tournament buy-ins.

This does mean that any points you have accrued and not used are no longer valid. Look out for the new Genting VIP scheme currently being planned to go live in July 2013.

Dear All,

First Off, I wish to apologies for the confusion my earlier post (and introduction to THM) has caused. This was a genuine mistake on my part.
 
To clarify:-

1. Your Hendon Mob $’s accrued to 14.06.2013 remains redeemable.

2. However, any play on Genting Poker from that date will not accrue Hendon Mob $. You will, however, continue to earn Genting Poker points which are redeemable as per the standard Genting Poker VIP scheme.
 
I will update you shortly with more details on redeeming your HM $. Please can you ensure your email addresses on your Genting Poker accounts are up to date, so we can also email these details.
 
Finally, and again, my sincere apologies for the confusion I have caused. I hope the above clarifies my initial announcement. For those who are regular visitors to GPS Main Events, I’m sure you’ll find me at a future one!
