I like the GPS but having just studied the payout structure I doubt  I will play anymore. You have to finish in the top 5% just to double your money. The min cash barely covers expenses.

I place more emphasis on better value when looking for events now.

good move  raff I always think in any tournament lasting more than a day min cash SHOULD BE DUBBLE THE BYE IN TO COVER COST TRAVEL HOTLE EXT.

this makes it less top heavy but generates more winners

The more top heavy the better regardless of how frustrating it is to be in for 2x 3x 4x and get 1.5x back.

Play to make money and for fun, not to pay for the hotel and Mcdonalds.

I can see the argument for a top heavy payout structure, however most players will not win tournaments very often or even final table many so by having a slightly flatter payout structure more players benefit.

I am not in favour of 20% of the field cashing but having 10 to 12% cash and making it worth while gives players more incentive to play the event. More players = bigger prize pools.

Event organisers want a big headline figure for the winner and that's understandable but players do notice when they battle through a large field to finish deep only to receive a tiny payout.

Some events have a huge jump between first and second place. Scaling back first place would allow the min cashes to be increased and therefore more worthwhile.

It will be great if the GPS payout structure is tweaked because its a first class tournament in every other aspect.

I think there are slight tweaks to be made at both Genting and DTD for the biggies.

I think DTD pay just a few too many and I am not sure £33k was enough for 1st in a 150gte? Of course nice, but was expecting it to be £35k at least imo.

Genting min cash (as I previously did say) should be made a lot higher.

Don't know if it' been mentioned on here already but some changes have been made to both blind structures and payout structures ahead of next week's Sheffield leg

Cliffs:

- out goes 25/50 in comes 250/500 and 2500/5000
- Antes made a bit more aggressive
- min cash is now at least double the initial buy in
- Final table payouts more top heavy

Hope to see some of you next week

Karl

25k/60 mins

Blinds will finish at exactly the same point on day 1, just the amount of "play" has been increased later in the day rather than at the start. Starting stack is still 250bb

sounds like a good adjustment to the structure.

Quick question - if i reg online for one of the day 1s and am late (will be rushing from work at lunchtime), will my stack be in play or will it be "held back" like they do at DTD for people registering online?

I'm pretty sure the answer to this is that they will be in play from the start. If you have an online token to use though you can register with it at the venue. Just see Raf or one of the guys and they will point you in the direction of Dave Williams who can sort it for you once you get there
