Available for cash carrying duties if you need to split it up, Toby. I need 4 hours notice though, to pack and get to the airport. 4 hours? you've only gotta pack your tooth brush and that will be in the same case from last time you went to Vegas

Take Flushy's and Michelle's advice, declare - and if didn't declare on way outlast year have some supporting documentation. It took me and extra 15 mins last year at customs.
Boba - I wouldn't do that again; either end. Had a friend who's sister recently bought 10k+ into uk she owed him pre Christmans, snap confiscated and while likely to get back he is still waiting two months later and numerous solicitor fees. I don't get why anyone wouldn't declare unless it's Columbian drug money - just a schoolboy error

I didnt intentionally not declare, most was in my bag/hoody pocket that went through the xray machine so I figured they would see it and I had planned on declaring if I was given a form to fill out/anyone asked but nobody asked and I was never given a form at McCarran or Newark. When I got back to Glasgow I just wandered through the exit as normal. That money is done and dusted anyway so dont need to worry about taking it back in

I don't get it, it's not illegal to have cash you just have to tell them.
bank statement + declaration + allowance for a little delay = easy.
if you don't declare and actually do some run bad, then it'll be tonnes of hassle and potentially rubber glove treatment.
havent got a statement tho, brought the cash back from vegas last year and just kept in as cash..... Don't tell them that unless you declared it on the way out last year! Dont think you need to declare it on the way out http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/customs/arriving/declaring-cash.htmIf you are leaving the USA with over $10,000 in cash then you definitely have to declare it on the way out of the USA AND when entering the UK. If you arrive in the USA and declare over $10,000 on entry and tell them that it's cash you left the USA with last year they will check their records to see if you declared it on the way out last year. If you didn't declare it then they can put you in jail! I left with like $32k in cash last summer in my pockets/laptop bag. Obv it went through the x-ray machines and stuff and nobody said anything. I wouldve declared it but nobody asked me and I wasnt given the form asking how much I had on the way out so I just figured didnt need to declare on the way out. I was given one of the forms on the way in. Thin

Coming back into Uk you don't get immigration forms as we're uk residents.

If you're Julian Gardner, just stick it in a bag on the seat next to you on the plane.

Exactly. You have a pink slip from the tourny which shows why you have that much... so carrying it in a holdall is totally fine.
Probably would arrange a wire tho....
