So unable to be in London today due to work, son cannot buy me in because I will not be there and beurocracy surrounding PS live cards. Less dead money in the prize pool. When did poker become like applying for a passport and a Visa to North Korea ?

Thanks for contacting me and sorting Jamie. Restored my faith.

Hi all,

We do still have a few places left for tomorrow and registration is open via PokerStars or with cash at The Vic.

Just to stress again, if you do not pre-register today it is more than likely you will be an alternate or turned away altogether.

We have a field of over 400 today and tomorrow will inevitably be in more demand.

Cheers,

Jamie

Hi,

Unfortunately not.

The Vic are managing cash registrations but I believe they do not allow this due to issues they have had previously.

Thanks Rob!

Action Man - Yes this will be no problem, you are the template for the perfect player Wink

Just to clarify, if you have already bought in to Day 1C via PS or The Vic already then you are guaranteed a seat.

We are operating PS Live for the entire festival which all players will have to sign up too regardless of how they bought in. If you already have PS Live card then please bring this along. There are likely to queues at peak times to sign up (e.g 11:00 - 12:00 tomorrow) so please adjust your plans accordingly.

ALL PLAYERS WILL REQUIRE ID TO REGISTER FOR PS LIVE

Cheers,

Jamie

Have to agree with Mr G here.

I don't carry picture ID as standard, don't think many in the UK do tbh, and being forced to go through this rigmarole every time we buy in to a tournament (and sit down at the table) is a nuisance at best and an intrusion at worst.

I certainly never carry picture ID around with me and surely it's not needed when a comp is at the Vic, and all members have their details and photo on the Vic's system.

What is the actual purpose/benefit of a PS Live card? Surely a player's PokerStars ID + Casino membership gives you everything you need?

I would have to disagree here, don't most people carry their driving license in their wallet (admittedly i'm only using a sample size of two; myself and the UK marketing manager)?

With or without PS Live we have always asked for ID regardless when players collect their tickets and/or take their seat at events so I don't think PS Live has changed this aspect. I think it has some great features which mean it's positives outweigh the negatives once you are signed up.

Obviously biased opinion here Smiley

Just another layer of bureaucracy.

And bureaucracy is bad thing imo.
