Just came back from the UKIPT. It was brilliantly run and most importantly there are a lot of staff there pointing useless poker players in the right direction and telling them what to do. The EPT Live card thingy was as painless as it possibly could be and took less than 5 minutes. To be fair Stars already have so much personal information on anyone who plays online that this is by the by.

I for one welcome our new insect overlords.

Shame I suck at the actual pokers.

Seminar 1: Attention to detail

Seminar 2: Actually giving a shit about your customers

Session ends

Just to add to this. As someone who follows the online gambling industry very very closely, I can say Stars don't always do everything brilliantly. The key is they learn quickly from their mistakes, listen to feedback and don't repeat them. That's why they consistently win.

Was a bit annoyed today after drivin to London got to hippodrome just after 2 to be told the side event was full and capped at 110......then told they were only allowing 10 ppl to join alternate list and that was already full.....nothing online about cap etc most of the staff there didn't seem to know why there was only goin to be a ten person alternate list but that sounds pretty insane to be fair

Hi,

Firstly, apologies for this.

In all honesty we were caught a little bit on the hop with almost 500 players at The Vic registering/playing Day 1C whilst simultaneously trying to set up the venue at The Hippodrome in time for yesterdays side.

We will make sure that caps are properly communicated for the rest of the festival and that we get the information out as early as possible if any event looks likely to sell out and whilst there are going to be events that get capped the least we can do is make sure players are aware before they travel to each venue.

On that note, the £330 UKIPT Side event at The Hippodrome at 12:00 today has a cap of 180 with around 100 seats still available. Registration is now open for cash and PS accounts at The Hippodrome and we would advise you buy-in ASAP to avoid disappointment as this event is always popular. We also expect the biggest ever UKIPT High Roller tomorrow so watch this space.

Shuttles are running between The Vic and The Hippodrome but these are taking quite some time at peak traffic times and you may be better off jumping on the tube. The drivers are driving the route multiple times a day so maybe ask them before you depart and they should be able to advise on traffic conditions.

Hi all,

If anyone is in London and at a loose end we are running two focus groups today at The Landmark at 14:00 & 15:30 and are looking for players views on live events and how we can improve your UKIPT/Live Event experience.

I know it is short notice but if anyone is around and would like to have your say feel free to PM me and I will send details.

Many thanks,

Jamie
