4bet iso spot?
«

A weird spot yesterday in the Newcastle GPS.
MP opens to 2k (400/800 I believe), button Mondatoo flats, I flat
from the sb.
bb jams for 11k total. I believe he's jamming fairly wide here, he told me that if I folded he would have folded, which for some reason I believed.
MP folds, Mondatoo tanks playing about 45k I believe (I've got about 90k in this spot).
He tanks, explains the maths, thinks he's getting the right odds and flats. Don't think he expects me to make any action here as I'm peeling with a fairly wide range from the smalll blind.
Following this tank I feel like I'm well ahead of his range, shouldn't be something like A10+ as we both know he's 3bet jamming this spot relatively light.
I feel like a jam here from the sb gets through a lot of the time vs mondatoo after the speech, probs flipping or 55/45 vs the big blind who jammed.
+EV to jam here? let it go since it's so marginal? Thoughts please

Crazy talk itt!
3bet squeeze pre imo. Fold if not. Unless opener has 100bbs as well then meh. Still prefer 3bet to peel.
Now, release your cards.

Fold pre if not? Or fold in this scenario that I've now confused myself with?

Yeh was saying that unless opener is really deep too then just open fold pre or 3bet. Dislike peeling from the sb. Ok to flat the btn imo.
But yeh, as played fold to the jam

Think the first question you've got to ask yourself is what Mondatoo thinks your range is. I don't know him personally but from what I've heard he's pretty good.
Assume hes got a hand; KQ / 66 / 77 / 88. Also assume this is his first of two bullets. Do you think hes folding these?

Yeah he's good, he seemed like his call was really marginal, tbh it felt like 22-55, then maybe J10s-KQos as well as A10-
I feel like this polarizes my range to 55-88, as well as A10+. Honestly believe I'm repping much stronger hands than what I have in this spot

I agree with you repping much stronger, and if you really feel this then a jam is good (Only because of our stack size). Also never hurts to advertise having a bit of a wild image.
In his eye
Out of interest what did they have? Or are we saving the reveal until a later date?

he was pretty aggro, had been talking about re-entering the following day so may not have valued his tourney life as much as expected.
But yeah, should have given him more cred than I did do

AK hand sounded like a good disciplined fold vs Umar
