Sticking to the routine of taking Mondays off after a hard weekend (about 30 hours of poker Friday-Sunday). Tomorrow I'm playing live for the first time since I've started this investment but it's only the £120 thingy at Coventry. Treating it as a bit of fun with a few beverages I hope.

Are $82 hypers worth it?

I've avoided them since the early downswing in this investment as it's clear the edge is quite low and with a high buy-in (compared to my ABI) they can have quite a impact on how the session ends.

I think even though afternoon/evening sessions are more profitable, the morning sessions show less in the way of winning anything big and has a few less regs in the 82 hypers. I think I'll introduce them back into a session when I'm playing mornings and see how it goes.

I haven't looked recently, but last time I looked in, they were full of SNE grinders happy to break even.

In the evening I agree but in the morning this is not the case. There are a lot of recs playing them at this hour. What I am willing to discuss though is whether playing them is worth the stress and variance? On the bad side of not playing them is I'm giving up $8-10 by not regging them.

I really am happy to have left them out for this long, they were causing my a bit of stress when I was on a big downswing. I think a discussion would be good on this matter. I've spoken to MC about this a lot, he continues to play them even though he finds them very stressful at times.

I'm not looking to persuade people that I should play them, I just don't know if I should play them or not as I lack experience and sample size with them to judge if they should be included in my schedule.

I think that the fact that there  is an question mark about it is a great argument for leaving them out. I'm by no means experienced in hypers but assuming an 8-10% ROI seems optimistic? If that 8-10% figure is right then definitely leave them in. Very hard to estimate though.

I sharkscoped all the morning regs I could think of and was surprised by how many of them seem to be doing good at 82 hypers. I think, if it were my choice after seeing the edge at them in the mornings that I will play them if the bankroll is in good shape. Playing them when I'm in $5k make-up or something seems a bad idea. As it stands, I'll play the two morning ones.

I don't play a ton of mornings anymore anyway, so I can't imagine I'll be averaging more than 10 a month.
