My vote goes with cheese everyday

I made a random discovery when I was hungover on a sunday and had no bread in the house, I did however have a garlic nan bread in the freezer. Beans with sausages with cheese on top on a garlic nan bread is now my fav comfort food  Smiley

Seems okay, it's what I do.

The beans have to be poured straight from the tin onto the toast - none of this reheating business, unless you actually want horrible grungy sauce and mushy beans.

pardon?

your pour the beans straight from the tin to the toast?

pardon?

you cook them in the tin?

Cook? They're already cooked. As in 'baked' beans.

but how do you heat them up to put them on the toast if they are in the tin?

Not done cold beans since uni (funnily enough), but a rite of passage, for sure.

Mohican, you're instincts are correct re tin sizing. The small ones are for ladies, vegetarians and generic stereotypes.

Tomato sauce, they have simply improved heinz baked beans.  I urge you to try a tin.  Don't go crazy & get a four pack but pick up one can & give them a try.

The type of beans is another thread itself. Makes no odds to me
as I normally have industrial amounts of Tabasco sauce
in mine.

make sure you don't keep the beans more than 2-3 years, you won't be able to get a refund!

Yeah stop derailing the thread man! Start a 'Type of Beans' thread!  Grin

That said I'm a convert Branstons fanboy!!!

Also love a bit of curry powder in my beans....or brown sauce

Pretty shocked at some of the "de-rail" comments... Did you lot sign up to blonde last week? The de-rail is what blonde is all about!

I like to add tobasco to my beans but normally add after cooking with lots of black pepper
