Hellmuth won the WSOP-E

Matusow won the NBC HU

Negraneau is about to win the WSOP-A

Is there anything we can read into this, and the skills of experienced live Pros in big fields?

Or is this just a short term thing, and we would expect younger, more "cutting edge" players to re-assert in live biggies from this point on?

There are an awful lot of tournaments running every week, with lots of live pros playing in each of them - they are good at what they do

NBC is purely famous live pros right? I looked at the field and not as many as I thought but hard to classify Dwan/Elky/Busquets etcetc

Richard Trigg: "you dont have to be faster than the sharks - you just just gotta swim faster than the fish in your water"

So, Hellmuth would likely not be profitable in a stacked up $100rebuy on a wednesday, but there is no doubting he's an excellent tournament player, he understands the format/structures like the back of his hand, is super experienced against weaker players, reads people+thegame as well as anyone, has all gears and most importantly just "gets" how to navigate his way through these big field comps.

I'm sure we could pick some holes in their games technically + fundamentally (I'm sure you could in my game as well) but they know HOW to win and that's something that you cant get off a training video.

The get shit done factor. You were right when you said his FT play in the WSOPE was absurd too btw, not seen in all yet, my housemate and I are slowly plowing through all of it.
