Played this tourney last year, had a family limped pot... Ended up bubbling to the eventual winner. Structure is really good, I have lots of experience going deep in big tournies, and am in form. Sold a bit already but selling 40% total and probably swapping 15-20%.

May 7th: Main Event €10600 @1.35
May 8th: NLHE 8 Handed €5300 @1.25

Will split the package if you want. Playing regardless of what I sell.

0.5% = €104.68
1% = €209.35
2% = €418.70
5% = €1046.75
10% = €2093.50
40% = €8374

This is genuinely bizarre, dunno what's going on with this forum.

Why is it bizarre? Surely you as the staking police can see a few problems with this proposal?

Even if it represents great value it's still a fair amount of money even for as little as 2%

The OP's not particularly brilliant to be fair and doesn't give any kind of idea how much money we could make. It's for 2 comps so it's a punt. If I'm punting I need to know how much I can potentially bink.

The whole thing assumes that the stakers know what they're getting in for and to be honest I have no idea.

How many runners are there? What's the estimated 1st place payout? These would be a useful start.

I don't know Rupert at all. I guess he's a good guy as he's a friend of yours so by association he must be okay. He can obviously play a bit of poker as we can see from his THM.

However it's still a very brief proposal and I can't justify flicking in €420 based on "played this last year, had a family limped pot".

To be honest I was interested in buying a % or 2 but wanted more information. When I saw he was playing regardless I though I'd just leave it as he doesn't need anybody anyway.

There's no offence intended here whatsoever I'm just saying what my thoughts were on this particular proposal.

This was last years event: http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.php?a=r&n=66061
This seasons EPTs have been getting bigger fields because they have been attaching them to the local tours (e.g. UKIPT, FPS, IPT etc). This event has an IPT San Remo before (same as last year) and a new Monaco Cup €1k event which should pull in a few more punters.

Last year a lot of poor players went really deep because the field has tons of bad players in.

The €5k side event last year: http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.php?a=r&n=66074

Last year they had 3 €5ks (all won by Dan Smith lol) and definitely saturated the inidividual fields. This year they just have one so I think it's fair to assume it'll be bigger. This event is normally a fair bit tougher than the main event but still plenty of value from the wealthy locals. It probably doesn't make much difference, but the EPTs give trophies for every side event now which a few punters like.

Most of my posts are here or in PHA so can find out decent amount about my game there. In terms of references for paying out money etc, I haven't had many binks on blonde but on 2+2 I've paid out over $1m in winnings to investors. Here are the two biggest:

Yeah I should have mentioned the reason for this is because I won a package online and so don't really have an option!

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Just as comparison
Barcelona last year: 811 (added Estrellas tour)
Barcelona this year: 1082

Prague last year: 722 (added Eureka tour)
Prague this year: 864

Berlin last year: 745 (added Berlin Cup)
Berlin this year: 912

London last year: 691 (UKIPT was there both years)
London this year: 647

Deauville last year: 889 (added FPS, not sure why numbers are lower, guessing people staying in Australia for WSOP AU or going to LAPC in between was a factor)
Deauville this year: 782

San Remo last year: 837 (for some reason they didn't add the IPT to it - this is moving back to April next year to match the IPT)
San Remo this year: 797

So yeah as you can see fields are generally trending downward for the events that have remained untouched except Deauville, otherwise adding the additional €1k has had a really positive effect on main event field sizes. I think Monaco is likely a bit of a special case so it will be interesting to see if it does get a ton more runners. Also the Monaco Cup clashes with SCOOP so that might be a consideration for travellers.

I'd buy your action pretty much "blind" Rupert, but I'm trying to save my pennies so I can get to Vegas, & I've hardly purchased any action in the last few months.

I'm still seriously tempted to have a % or 2 for this, but really, I'm fixated on trying to put enough aside to play a decent schedule in Vegas.

So stop tempting me please.......

Isn't this nearly sold out on 2 plus 2?  You seem to have bookings and reserves for most of it.

A guy reserved 18% for 24 hours (I posted this on 2+2 2 days ago) but hasn't got back to me since so it's still open. Still 18% left
