Evening all

I thought it may be a good idea to follow cookie and say hello to everyone.
I'm one of those whose read blonde for a long time but never posted. I've been playing poker for around 10 years. I first played live at gala notts when I was taken along by a lovely chap called Dave Wojcik. I was there every night for a while and then started playing at dtd. More recently, I've played less live poker, when I have it's been at Derby.
I seem to be one of those poker players who is on nodding terms with everyone but doesn't really know anyone. I'd like that to change.
Mostly I play on Sky these days, making a few quid on their double or nothing games. Every once in a while I go through a spell of playing live. I seem to follow the same routine of winning a bit at cash and then on one night getting roaring drunk, playing terribly and giving a few hundred to Bully who posts on here. I'm sure everyone who plays at Derby has me down as an alcoholic. Ridiculous thing is though, I hardly drink normally but seem to have developed a taste for Estrella when I play there.
As my name is Paul Jackson and I'm not as good or as rich as the rather well known Paul Jackson, it was always a little embarrassing when I used to get called to the 50/1 tables at Dtd. I did ask Danny to shout out for PJ that a seat was available but unsurprisingly he seemed to take great delight in shouting my name repeatedly to go to the 50/1.
Never been to Nandos by the way before you ask!

The choice is yours.
The question: How many 5 year-olds could you take on at once?
The specifics:
- You are in an enclosed area, roughly the size of a basketball court. There are no foreign objects.
- You are not allowed to touch a wall.
- When you are knocked unconscious, you lose. When they are all knocked unconscious, they lose. Once a kid is knocked unconscious, that kid is "out."
- I (or someone else intent on seeing to it you fail) get to choose the kids from a pool that is twice the size of your magic number. The pool will be 50/50 in terms of gender and will have no discernable abnormalities in terms of demographics, other than they are all healthy Americans.
- The kids receive one day of training from hand-to-hand combat experts who will train them specifically to team up to take down one adult. You will receive one hour of "counter-tactics" training.
- There is no protective padding for any combatant other than the standard-issue cup.
* The kids are motivated enough to not get scared, regardless of the bloodshed. Even the very last one will give it his/her best to take you down.

So how many 5 year olds?
Welcome.

Lovely!
Nice easy one to start with.
Actually first one is easy.
every time.
Second one. Hmm, is there a good answer to this?
All I do know is that my nephew fights dirty and seems to kick my arse every time. This being the case I'm probably struggling with more than one.

Everyone seemed to settle on about 30 if I'm remembering the thread correctly, which seems a touch high, I'd expect a pack of 15 to have a pretty good shot vs most people. But 5 year olds are pretty weak.

Welcome! Good place to be. My advice dive straight in. Suddenly you find you cannot keep off this site. There will be a rehabilitation clinic open soon. Tal is the first customer.

Hello there! Favourite brand of toothpaste? (I ask this alot, because I can't find one I definitely like :p)
And, if you could have dinner with any male in the world, who and why? Same for female? Look forward to seeing you at the tables, I'm sure we've seen each other around, will come have a game with you as soon as I can put a face to the name!

Paul - good to see you here.
I actually mentioned you on my Diary last night.
I hope you'll regale us with a few of your stories, as you often do next door. Your Diary across there was one of the best reads on the Community.
I'll be replying properly to you later this morning, as I can point you in the direction of a few good Diaries on blonde, too, & I know you'll enjoy them.
I LOVE the idea, which seems to be gaining momentum on blonde, of saying "hello", & introducing yourself. You are, I think, the 4th player who has migrated from next door & introduced themself properly. I do find it all a bit strange when a newbie makes a first post here & fails to introduce themself, or indicate anything about themselves. It'd never happen in real life, unless they were dreadfully lacking in social skills, so I'm a bit perplexed why it happens so much Online. I suppose good manners count for little these days, but it is actually good & self-serving people skills to say "hello" etc, as it helps ease you in.
Oooh, where did all that come from? Sorry, I almost went off on one there. At least I spared you the "daft question" initiation which seems to be the fashion these days.
Anyway, I'll have some stuff you you later today on my Diary. Check it out.

and
to blonde! Hope you enjoy it here.
I don't keep a diary these days, but if I did, I'd have mentioned you too. Anyone who's been lucky enough to swerve a visit to Nando's deserves a shout out.

I haven't really mentioned you. (yet) I was just copying tikay's gutter tactics.

Don't worry, when I give Jac a "blonde Diary Guide" it will include a link to the home of blather & bollox.
