Level 4, 200/400/50, we pick up AQos on the BB.
Early position makes it 1125, btn flats, we make it 3600 to go. Early position folds, btn calls.
Flop comes Q/10/5 with two clubs. We cbet 4800, btn calls.
Turn is an os 8. We have 50k+ behind, villain has about 18k behind, pot is 18625. We...?

We...?
size the flop better so that we can shove for less than pot ott.
Million that we get folds on this board and if they are calling 3600 they are definitely calling 5100.
Means the pot would be 21625 and he would have 15k ott, a lot lot easier.

I wouldn't check the turn as we are repping a very strong hand preflop. I would bet 8,900k here to induce a shove as we have TPTK!!!!!!!!!!!

Both these are fine on this particular turn I prefer a shove.

in my experience 90% of players will checkbehind draws+pairs when given the chance

Agreed this happens alot of the time but when the pot is this big in relation to their remaining stack i doubt it happens much in this spot.

I just play too much online, where if you just check once in the hand, Villian always just goes for it.

villain's range isn't just draws btw it's weaker hands as well - defo shove and he'll prolly struggle to fold those, and if he folds a club draw then thats ok too innit.

Put this up mainly as a confidence thing, this hand came at a pretty low point in the day and as tends to happen, you're hit by doubt every time you lose a hand. I did shove :p

What percentage of the time would you check, here, peeps? Or, in lay terms, in what sort of circumstance would you consider a check better than a shove?
FWIW I shove here pretty much every time. The only time I would check is if I thought I was behind.
