Event #12:

$1,500 Pot-Limit Hold'em started today with 535 players and after 10 levels of play, we have two players over the 100K mark: Robert Corcione (144,600) and Mike Carson (110,000). Both players have some history at the WSOP. Robert Corcione finished in 21st place in last year's Main Event for $294,601and Mike Carson won a bracelet in 2000 in a $3000 Pot-Limit Hold'em event for $222,000.

The day 2 table draw with 62 left is at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AphmWJY3rs91dExwOVZ4YXBnZ0toSWVBSHJNQW5jRWc#gid=0

We can see that Sunny Chattha who is having a fine series is still in with 81,000

You must be busy Rich, as it is unlike you & your OCD-ness to miss a trick - there is at least one other Brit still in, a chap you know quite well, too.

I stole this fine piece of reportage from elsewhere, but it's OK, as I wrote it myself. You do Daily Updates here, I do them elsewhere, some efficiency gains should be possible really!

____________

"......Finally, today, Event # 13 was the $5,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo, an absolutely lovely Event to play I would imagine even though it is played as LIMIT.  Only 210 runners though, of which 168 remain.

Stu Rutter is hanging in, with around 15 x Bigs, though in Limit Hi-Low, 15 bigs is plenty, even half that & you are not in terribad shape.

The name that caught my eye is Norman Chad, it'd be absolutely wonderful if he had a deep run. He made the Final Table of this event in both 2009 & 2011, & in 2012, he finished 6th in the Hi-Lo Stud/Omaha, so he clearly revels in the 4 card & non-flop split pot games.

Norman does a weekly column called "Couch Slouch" & it includes an "Ask the Slouch" section, & if your question gets answered, the person who sent it in gets a prize of a whole $1.25. Maybe we should try that here. We could go as high as £2.20.

Norman's Twitter feed is an absolute delight to follow.

A few days ago he Tweeted.....

....WSOP update: Out in 61st. I objected, but dealer insisted I could not continue without chips. Fine. I'll just take my business elsewhere....."

Amongst today's gems from Norman include.....

"....WSOP 5k stud/8 event, thru 4 levels: Started w/ 15,000 chips, now have 14,200. I am treading water in a bathtub that has no drain stopper....."

You can follow Norman on @NormanChad......"

Congratulations to Levi Berger, Winner of the Event #11 $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em Six Handed (473,019)!

WSOP Event 11 Gold Bracelet Winner Levi Berger

Today was the conclusion of one of the most action packed events of the summer, Event #11 $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em Six Handed. 14 players came back today for the Day 3 restart, and at the beginning of the day, Levi Berger held a big chip lead. He lost it before the start of the final table, and despite having an up and down final table, he ended up knocking out every single player, including Scott Clements heads up for his first gold bracelet, and $473,019 to boot.

Canada now has four WSOP bracelets this summer.

Gary Pearce from Haslemere finished 12th for $22786

I was in Vegas in April on a mate's stag do and played in a $200 or $300 comp at the Venetian with about 60 runners. Looked a nice field of tourists and old cowboys, til who walks in and takes the empty seat on my table, Allen Cunningham! All I can hear is Norman Chad's commentary 'THAT'S ALLEN CUNNINGHAM!'....he plays great tho, nice to see his practice is paying off!
