You can't rule out the possibility that the player was backed and in $50k makeup though so didn't see a dime. Plenty of the "young breed" are deep in huge makeup and a 25k score might not see them a penny.

This is true, but surely the relief of not being so deep in make up is worth celebrating too?

Obviously if this was the case you'd go somewhere a bit more modest.

A meal for 6 at Cafe Bellagio or Noodles shouldn't cost more than $150 or $200 as long as no one takes the piss, and if they are all real mates no one would.

Why are you so insistant? Once again you dont know peoples personal situation but you feel the need to tell them how wrong they are and what they should do.

And if someone is $50k in MU and wins $25k, I doubt the majority of them will be happy to celebrate and pick up a tab

I am neither telling people what they should do or how wrong they are.

If they are happy with the practice and their mates are too, good luck to them.

But if you are thinking about inviting me to a celebration meal and expecting me to put my cc in for roulette don't bother. I won't be coming.

I am giving my opinion which is what internet forums are all about as far as I know.

So you have a friend who's financially in bad shape but you won't celebrate a win that helps him a lot even though he can't afford to pay for everyone he wants to celebrate with him, just because everyone is going to pay their own way?

Meh, when you put like that, I prolly would go.

I'd prefer everyone to pay a 1/6th share or whatever than roulette though.

Just seems ridic unfair that a skint member could end up paying for someone who has just binked.

Don't think that's difficult to understand.

i would never i would either buy dinner or expect to split unless otherwise stated if i am invited

I'd love someone to try and tax me for paying for my own dinner. Sounds like the sort of initiative Ryanair would be involved in

if someone has a $200k score and gets $4,600 of it for themselves then of course you don't expect them to take you for dinner. If someone lost $120k at cash games on wednesday then won $128k at cash games on thursday you wouldn't expect dinner.

If someone wins $200k for himself and wants to treat the lads to dinner or a night out then that's pretty sweet imo, he won't care for paying a cpl of grand and everyone will be loving it.

more to the point, go on Pezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy! Going to be quite a rail tomorrow.

What's all this dinner malarkey? I'd be going for a huuuuge piss up with a greasy McDonald's breakfast on the way home if I blinked something big. A big dinner before hand just inhibits my drinking ability  Cheesy

10pm Vegas.

In the $50,000 Players Championship thing, Benyamine just busted, & three remain, including Matthew Ashton.

With Matthew & Pez both well placed, tomorrow could be a good day for the Brits.

Flipping with Mitch and stato is a tax in itself Cheesy

I remember winning £1k in a sweepstake some random guy ran once. Took Mitch and Stato for a £100 meal after. Well, they called it CCR, I called it me taking them for a meal. Adam Picken came too, he didnt want to play the "whos going to buy Stato and Mitch dinner" game, so bought out for his exact share. True story.

Just went & had a look, a minute ago. In real time, still three handed, but Hennigan looks to be very short indeed. Cannot get close enough to see exact chip counts though. Ashton looks to be compltely in charge.

They just started the Razz segment, the Ante is 2,000 & the Bring In 50,000!

Still a lot of play in this though.
