Evening all, the wife and I are looking at getting new mobiles, upgrading from my HTC Wildfire S and her iPhone 3, but only looking to spend up to £150. We're leaning towards the Samsung Ace 2, and have also been looking at the Sony Experian J. Does anyone have either and have any comments to help our decision please?

The main issue I have with my HTC is that the internal storage is tiny and most apps can't be installed on the SD card, so I can only have one or two apps on the phone. The Facebook app has to be the oldest version as the newer one is too big, and Betfair is too big now too, for example, so I'm hopeful that either of these will be better for apps.

Fair point Cheesy

I'm an Android person. Really like the Samsung hardware and feel (I have a Galaxy Nexus). Good friend of mine swears by HTC in every respect and has the new ONE.

App-wise, the Betfair App is absolutely fine on Android for a decent enough phone and as long as you can get Jelly Bean on it (the latest version is 4.2.2), you have as good an operating system as you could possibly want.

Out of interest, would you consider going nearly new to somewhere like Computer Exchange?

Yeah I like my Android and wouldn't even be upgrading the Wildfire if I could have more than one app saved on the phone.

I'd rather get new as I'm just very cautious about buying stuff, especially expensive stuff, but would consider nearly new yeah.

My Mum has the Ace (not 2 I don't think) and it's a nice phone and she gets on really well with it.   Other than that I don't really have much to add.  Worth checking out the cash back sites (Quidco, Topcashback) for things like this as there's often a few quid to be saved.  I assume you're talking PAYG phones?

You can get some contracts that are only £7.50 per month fwiw, maybe a contract but at least you don't have to fork out lots up front.

Bottom one looks wicked, when's that out?

The background music was same as that programme 'skint', when he goes into the ring to cage fight lol, made me chuckle.
