This is a famous picture of one of the game's most important players, Alexander Alekhine.

Jackson Whipps Showalter.

On the right is the Oscar-winning actor, José Ferrer. In the middle is arguably the most famous chess player of all-time, Bobby Fischer. On the left is another of America's greats, Samuel Reshevsky.

Reshevsky was a child prodigy of some considerable scale.
