Now, obviously I do know the hole cards that the other guy had, so either we got to showdown or he showed when he folded. How do we think this hand is played from both players, and what range should I have for playing my hand the way I did?

I feel like he called and won but preflop on your behalf is horrible if this is true. Even if you have AK i dislike hand overall. I don't think i flat the 4bet with anything pre. Do you have quads? This isnt how to beat 25nl imo. AA kinda makes sense I guess.

From your point of view

Assuming you are readless

You should have AK really, possibly AA or KK and maybe JJ (we all know how much you love this hand)

Think anything else would be pretty bad preflop OOP. Don't particularly like the turn if you have JJ or if you happen to have QQ too. If you had complete air and was bluffing and they folded, then you got pretty lucky tbh...

AK pre flop oop would just pile, enough dead money and hard to flop a pair.

Playing JJ like this seems pretty weird too, piling seems by far the best line, what we gonna do on q92, k22, etc

AA seems reasonable but river would be a little thin perhaps.

guess you had 89 or 9Ts tho.

From villains point of view

Also, if villain called on the river, then it is an awful call because when you flat the 4-bet pre, your range looks exactly like JJ+ & AK, unless you have some elaborate plan with a funky hand, which the villain can't assume. By the river, there are literally no hands in that range that he beats.

If he folded, then nice fold (although I don't think they should show their hand). I think you are rarely bluffing here and the rest of the time he is crushed.

So, if I was villain, I would fold QQ and wouldn't worry about that decision at all. Smiley

disagree completely here, it looks like we have something we 3bet bluffed then decided to peel.

would call QQ otherwise were folding the top of our range. If I had a7 then i would feel like im in a tricky spot.
