Pretty impressed with the Raiders in general and Terrelle Pryor in particular last night.
Think they are finally on the right track.

Early thoughts on the wembley game... feel the line of 42 is a bit low.. steelers ageing D doesn't seem to be the force it once was and the run D is struggling..Peterson to run them ragged ?... vikings seem to give up points for fun and there were some signs that the steelers O is finally finding some production..
Thoughts ?
What is the weather forecast for the weekend? Wembley plays terrible if soaked. Otherwise yeah line probs is a bit low

Nate Burleson broke his arm in two places in a one vehicle car crash. Out for the season
He was distracted by pizza.

Class.
Ronnie Hillman said he got the Broncos fourth-quarter goal-line carry on Monday night because he won a game of rock, paper, scissors.
Early in the final frame, Hillman broke off a 19-yard run to the 1-yard line. The Broncos proceeded to take a timeout. During that break in the action, Hillman says he took on Knowshon Moreno and Montee Ball in rock, paper, scissors to see who would get the touchdown. Hillman chose rock, while Ball and Moreno went with scissors.

I remember when Premiership footballers used to be the dimmest people in sport.

I'm sure you will enjoy it but both teams were clearly utter gash last year, hopefully AP just does something mesmerising for you and the rest of Wembley.

I have just read the rules on the NFL, and am clear on the basics, aside from two things. If a QB throws the ball, the receivers tries to catch it, but parries it onto the ground, it bounces up and the defence get it can they play on or is it considered dead after hitting the floor?
Can you score a field goal in open play? Without the need of the special teams? Does it need to hit the ground before you kick it over like in Rugby, and is it a common play?

1. The ball is dead if the pass is forward (called an incomplete pass) but if the pass is backwards or sideways (called a lateral) it's live unless it goes out of bounds.
2. Yes it's called a drop kick and scores 3 points from open play or 1 point after a td. It is almost never seen though because the ball is too pointy and bounces in unexpected directions when you drop it. It has only been achieved once in all the time I've been watching NFL. A coach let a veteran player do as reward for his career in his last match

Cheers Camel
I guess it is never used as you may as well just do a field goal with special teams.
But would imagine it would be a useful back up policy if nothing else is available, you are maybe on the 3rd or fourth down after you have tried a running/throwing play but avenues have become unavailable but as you said the ball makes it tough to do. But what about if you didn't bounce it on its point but on the side instead, if you were close enough to the sticks, I guess you could do that from a decent way out.
Guess the idea I am suggesting just sounds like bollocks from a newb no doubt
What about yellow flags I see get thrown onto the field of play. The rules I read didn't mention the infringements for it. Is it if you move beyond the line of scrimmage before the ball is put into play? Are you allowed to tackle a man before they get near the football when a pass is coming into them?
If there are too many infringements for the yellow flag, maybe direct me somewhere where i can see it please? Anyone? As I couldn't find it, but I am probs being silly.
Need to be clued up for the Tikay bash coming up shortly.

Try this too, Ant. You're exactly the audience that this is aimed at, by the looks of things.
