Does anyone have a view of the Pats pass D?

''the Patriots’ secondary is officially legit''

Isn't it a little early for this after facing E J Manuel, Geno Smith and Josh Freeman in their first three games?

Its way too early.  They have only had 103 passing attempts against them so far this year and I actually thought EJ Manuel did okay against them considering it was his first game and he threw two TD's from 27 passes.

Cheers Red,

I thought Smith did ok too on what was a tricky night in iffy weather.  This feels misleading too given the TE they have faced are Scott Chandler, Kellen Winslow on a 4 day short week with bad knees and Jeff Cumberland who had plenty of snaps  in that game but mainly blocked. Last week they faced Tampa's third choice TE Nate Byham.

'''Tony Gonzalez’s slow start is officially a bit of a concern. He failed to take advantage of a juicy Week 3 matchup in the Dolphins, and will now be squaring off with a Patriots team that routinely eliminates tight ends. Thus far this season, no team is allowing fewer fantasy points to tight ends than New England'''

Manuel to Chandler
Smith to Winslow and Cumberland
Freeman to Nate Byham

They are hardly relevant to Ryan and Gonzalez are they. Feels a little like looking at the numbers and not even looking at the previous match ups.

It will be full of pomp, ceremony and razamatazz, so it will be enjoyable whatever. This is America after all.

Just would be better if it doesn't pour down.

Well it aint in yankee land Tal son, they have cut back a lot on the entertainment side too imo. Fireworks a few years back were much better.
One sided games are freaking boring, much better to have two evenly matched teams, even if both are shite..lol

No Ponder makes things interesting. Might he have played his last game in purple? A decent performance from Cassel and the first tick in the win column makes him hard to drop.

I think I've found the flaw in your logic.

Seems weird, doesn't it? Can't have a better chance than this to do something, though.

That is amazing really isn't it Rinswun.

I liked this too.

Adam Vinatieri has made a successful field goal in 39 NFL stadiums and thee are only 32 NFL teams.

For you:

cheers James, spookily enough that was exactly where I read it.

Are you in London for the 49ers Wembley game?

Nah neither matchup excites me in any form, rather watch a diff game on TV

Just received this text from a friend who was at tonight's game:

"A train just turned up to wembley park not in service. Answers on a postcard what 1000 people on the platform thought of that."

My friend is new to NFL this season but is getting the hang of it:

"It's interesting listening to steelers fans about it being a long yr. It's 16 games and you don't get relegated. Should try being palace."

Sorry Mr Channing...  Jacksonville really are that bad

Commentators have been questioning whether the Jags are really as bad as the linesetters say and we can now agree they aren't. They are much worse.

Got to feel for the players. All that work in training and then nothing on the big day.

I'll stop backing them against the spread now, so that should see a turnaround in fortunes...

Anyone fancy a side bet?  I take Jacksonville and say that for the rest of the year they have a winning record against the spread (we will use Las Vegas Hilton closing line).  So there are, I think, 12 more games for them.  They would have to win 7 of them versus the spread for me to win.  If it was 6-6 then it would be a push.  Will take up to a monkeys action at evens.
