I think 27.5 would be the biggest in NFL history.....to be fair the guy here with the longest history in the game thinks it can't be that high but it has to be over 3 TD's I think.

tbf.... the bookies will adjust and get it right.... may take them one more week.. but 8 points v indy today with that balanced O now and luck? with no offense at all and Gabbert back in.... was a max for me...

also people keep saying indy overated but I backed them hard pre season and with the addition of Richardson and if they can get bradshaw back for a 1-2 punch..they are going be a decent force

Colts and Chiefs will be paying for that new gaff I saw on Facebook Wink

lol if one of those goes all the way it gets an extension Smiley

Very nice!

With my bets on the Bengals and Eagles I might be moving into a Wendy House Cheesy

Nicely refreshing to be on the side of the majority for once, even if it isn't for a good reason. Wink

Would you be generous enough to put it into context, please?

St Louis next. Where would you think the line

a) Will open at
b) Will be at kick off
c) Should be at, if not influenced by money?

Sorry in turn

a) we opened -12
b) I guess about -13.5
c) maybe -10.5....St Louis arent exactly a public team......

Thanks. Sounds like that's one of the smallest differentials between those three numbers for a game against the Jags.

I assume say the Patriots or the Cowboys would have a much wider range?

Apologies. This is all a bit new to me. This is the first season I've bet ATS.

It is tough to have such a big differential unless it is a really public team as the sharp guys just jump on obviously wrong numbers and the public as a whole are much sharper than they have ever been.  Once upon a time the real wiseguys would have an idea where the public want to bet and let the number run up so even if they thought there was value in +27 they would know the public loved Denver and would bet it up and they would be able to bet +28.5 or whatever but now there are so many smaller sharp guys the numbers get ironed out quicker.

Ironically after everything I have posted I have just bet Denver for next week at Dallas -5.5 but I do think it will close higher than that.

It was a cracking game today, probs the best I have seen out of all the games at Wembley.
Hardly anyone left early either, due to it going to the wire. Made for a very busy station concourse but got back to Victoria okay

philly team total on whill is 24.5.... 1.5 under market 26 and a full 2 under ppower.... giants  defense 28th v the run and not much better against the pass .... and give up  a league worst average 36.5 points per game...they even gave up 31 v Kansas modest offense last week... with mCcoy and vick running.. and jackson and Avant on the deep ball..cant see NY defending for less than 25 points

EDIT : looks like compilers might have been lazy too as their offense points is 24.8..slightly skewed considering they went against kansas and denvers highly rated defenses to bring the average down..

Did anyone predict the score in Green Bay? New England @ Cincinnati, too. Not a TD between them.
