This is Yung Hon Ngan, who I met for the first time at the ISPT. DTD local, student, small tournaments

Current chip leader

"Go on, tell him how you got them" says a tablemate

Yung is bashful

"I'll tell him" the tablemate wants me to know what affront to poker Yung has committed

"He called an all in on a Jack high flop with Jack-Nine"

I wait, expectant

"He is up against Aces"

I go 5/6 the Jack, 6/4 the Nine, in my head

"The river comes a Jack and he knocks him out" says the indignant tablemate

Yung smiles shyly.....I mentally go off to the payout window

Carla "oh my" Goddard on a rare foray into Tournaments, those I update anyway,  from her normal successful cash games

Andrew Olssen who went deep in the ISPT despite the disadvantage of being from Scunthorpe

Andrew is not sitting in front of a wind machine, he merely brushed his hair that way. Really

Been labouring with laptop woes, as you might be able to tell

Anyway, entry closed for tonight with a whopping 206 entries, so we are playing to 20 and are currently in Level 7 with 136 left at 600-1200 average 45,000

Meaning we head into tomorrow's final day one, at 5pm, with 346 total needing 154 more to hit the £50,000 GTE

Going to be smashed. The guarantee, not the laptop. Though come to think of it....

John Kittle opens to 3400 at 800-1600

Tony Lang calls

Sean Randall calls on the button

In the small blind Tom Somerville all in 22,000

Kittle grimace folds

Lang calls

Randall folds

Lang A-Jo, and Kittle lets out a gasp

Somerville K-9hh

2-9-2 flop

Perhaps Somerville is not going to leave the tournament this way. He can survive then, can he stay alive?

5 turn

Ace on the river to knock tomsom87 out and give me another crack at a lookalike tomorrow

Meanwhile Greek Jack has about 100,000 or double average

Interesting this, as he is one of the Day Two Qualifiers from Online with 300k ish, and is attempting to merge stacks, the only person in tonight's field I think who is trying to do so...

He needs to get over 400,000 combined to be Sunday's chip leader, so far....

98 left as the field resumes at Level 9 1000-2000

20 will make it to Sunday, 6 will get their £100 back

Average 63,000

I probably have to give this up as a bad job and take my laptop to a man I know in the morning, but will persist for now

One of the issues with this bumper field, which surprised me, is how long it will take to play down to 20.

Adjusting for clocks, if it finishes at the same level as the Online Day Ones have done, that's 5am

Presumably it will play a bit quicker without time-banking near the bubble, and with live players knowing they have a shot tomorrow....

Richard Blacklock has 45,000

About 2/3 average

He was down to 5,000 am level ago

He 5 bet folded 4-5cc against Adam Cook.

Cook showed him 10-3 off

Next orbit against the same player he 6 bet shoved A-Q and was called by 10-10

Tens held, to take him down to the felt

Several double ups later he is still in there fighting

Meanwhile this is Danny Young son of Colin, one of the chip leaders

got half of them with 9-7hh and the other half with 2-3o versus Jacks

Like father like...

Meanwhile Colin himself is out. Aces cracked by A-9dd. All in on , on the turn

the victor? Anonymous
